Your POV

(F/n) was woken by the sound of static. It had been known throughout the history of her village that one person of every generation of the royal family had a special kekkei genkai. This ability allowed the holder to hear the frequency of another's chakra. (F/n) was the holder of this special ability and was able to read a persons chakra just as easily as someone with visual prowess, however, her ability was in her hearing and not her eyes.

Sitting up from her futon, (f/n) closed her eyes and listened for the chakra frequency. The frequency soon reached her ears and (f/n) was surprised by how distressed the frequency was. Shooting up from her bed, (f/n) took a glance at the clock, ' 4:07' before rushing out of her apartment.

(F/n) made her way to the apartment next to hers and the frequency became louder. ' This is Kakashi's apartment' she thought as she stood in front of the closed door. She took a deep breath before slowly turning the knob. The door was unlock so (f/n) made her way to Kakashi's room, keeping her senses fixed on the distressed frequency. She stopped once she was in front of Kakashi's bedroom door. She brought her fist up to the door and knocked lightly, but loud enough to hear, so as to not startle Kakashi who was in a very panicked state from what (f/n) detected. She waited a moment. Nothing. Even the distressed chakra seemed to have calmed. She was about to slide open the door until it opened revealing Kakashi.

He looked terrible, or at least the parts of his face that she could see didn't look so good. He was shirtless wearing only sweat pants and his mask. His breathing seemed unsteady and (f/n) could see the gleam of sweat covering the visible parts of his body that reflected the light from the window. They stood there for a while just looking at each other, neither one saying a word. It seemed to take Kakashi a moment to comprehend what was happening,

"Why are you here?" he asked, his voice low and raspy.

"Are you alright?" she answered, beginning to worry about the shinobi.

"I'm fine." he sighed, scratching the side of his head.

" Are you certain? You're not being attacked or anything?" she asked pushing her way into his room, expecting to see the place a mess, but finding his room to be neat and seemingly untouched, save the bed which looked as if the blankets had been tossed almost completely off.

" You didn't answer my question you know." Kakashi sighed as he sluggishly made his way back to his bed, sitting on the floor and leaning back on the side of the bed. Taking a deep breath, (f/n) made her way to where Kakashi was and sat next to him.

" Was it a nightmare?" she ask softly, not looking at him.

"......yeah." was his only reply as he rested his head on the edge of the bed and closed his eye, (f/n) noticed that the eye that was usually covered was closed and a scar positioned over it. Silence overtook them once again and (f/n) made no move to change that, wanting to give him some space and time to calm down, though his chakra had already calmed down immensely compared to how it was when she was woken up. Kakashi sat with one leg stretched in front of him and the other bent with the bottom of his foot flat on the ground and his knee in the air. He sat resting his arms loosely crossed over his knee and his head resting on the corner of the bed. His eyes were shut and his breathing was slow and beginning to steady. (f/n) sat with both of her knees to her chest and he arms crossed over them, her chin resting on the space between her elbows. She began thinking about Kakashi's dream, ' What kind of dream was it to make his chakra so distressed? ' she thought to herself, but let the thought pass since at the moment she had no intention of asking him.

The silence was soon broken as Kakashi's voice crept through,

".....(f/n)."

" ah, yes?" hearing his voice startled (f/n) and she lifted her head in order to see him, but he wasn't looking at her, in fact, his head was now resting on his arms and his hair was covering his face so she couldn't get a good look.

".....can I ....." he hesitated.

" Can you...what?" she question.

".....can I....lay....on your lap?" he asked, his voice slightly shaky.

"...wha-....um....well I...um." (f/n) stuttered feeling her face heat up.

" ...."

" Well..." (f/n) glanced at Kakashi and she could see his muscles clench the more time went by. ' He must be really scared.' she thought. Giving thanks for the darkness so the redness of her face was less visible. " Yes...you may." (f/n) let her legs fall so that they were now stretched out in front of her. It wasn't until then that (f/n) noticed that she was still wearing her night gown, however it didn't seem like Kakashi noticed so she let it go.

Kakashi seemed surprised at first and hesitated, even though he was the one who asked. (f/n) gave him a light smile and patted her leg, ' just this once is fine' she thought. Kakashi soon relaxed and moved so his head was resting comfortably on her thigh, she noted how soft his hair felt on her bare thigh, which only reminded her that she was dressed very improperly at the moment. Kakashi was laying on his back now and (f/n) noticed that he was now looking at her. As their eyes met (f/n) smiled at him. Though she couldn't see his face due to his mask, (f/n) could tell by his eyes that he was smiling back at her.

Kakashi reached his hand up and glided his fingers across the ends of her (h/c) hair that fell to her (b/p). His hand soon reach the (s/c) skin of her face, moving across her chin, the back of his hand smoothing her cheek. (f/n) could see Kakashi's eyes begin to droop, the signs of sleepiness apparent on his features. She took his hand in her own leading it away from her face. She felt his hand tightened around hers as she brought his hand down to his chest. Even as (f/n) could see him drift off to sleep he still held a tight grip on her hand.

once Kakashi was asleep, (f/n) sighed. Gently, she tried easing her hand out of Kakashi's, but his fingers only tightened their grip. ' Now what am I going to do? ' she thought, feeling a yawn pushing it's way through her airway. She laid her head back on the edge of his bed, tilting it so she could still see Kakashi's sleeping face. She could feel the fatigue weighing her body down. ' I can't sleep here. ' she thought before her eyes slowly closed as her body gave in to sleep.
