Chapter 29 [Fear]

Syra Camille Monteguido finally breaks her silence.

Nakipagsiksikan ako sa audience para lamang mapanood ang nangyayaring interview sa loob ng silid. My friend Lionel is interviewing my sister because of the spreading issue between her and my boyfriend.

"So the rumors are true, Ms. Syra?" Lionel asked her during the interview. Sa kanilang harapan ay nakatutok ang malaking camera na hawak ng isang cameraman.

"Definitely yes, not just a rumor but as a fact. As much as possible I want it to stay private but well.. hindi natin mapipigilan ang pagkalat ng balita kapag may ibang taong nakaalam na. And I won't deny it, because it's true."

Damn you, Syra. Go to hell. These are all lies. Hindi ko masikmura ang lahat ng kahibangang ito. Malambing siya kung ngumiti sa camera at sa pagsagot ng mga katanungang ibinabato sa kanya ay halata kong pinaghandaan niya ito. She's enjoying this so much.

"So...gaano na katagal itong relasyon ninyo ni Troy?" Lionel asked once again. Let's see kung ano na namang kasinunghalingan itong maririnig ko sa kapatid ko.

"We've been together for a year. In the most possible way, we'd like things to go smooth and silent, dahil alam namin ang media once they get a scoop about our relationship, but this already happened, so we're ready to face it."

I bit my lip. Kung maaari lang na umeksena ako dito ay kanina ko pa ginawa. But I'm better than that. I don't get scandalous just because I feel threatened. And I know it will only get more complicated.

"So how did you start dating?"

Syra shifted on her seat. Yumuko siya at pakunwaring nag-isip just to made it look like not scripted. Oh yeah, she can be nominated for the best actress this year because of this fucking stunt, and I'll fucking hit her with the trophy.

"I have my own gallery, and he's always like going and attending to my exhibits and buy a piece of my artworks. And that's when we started talking and getting to know each other. He's been the sweetest man I've ever met, and it'll be very unlikely not to fall for a man like him."

Nakita ko ang paglihis ng mata niya sa audience at nang masilayan akong nanonood ay mas lalong lumawak ang ngiti sa pulang-pula niyang labi. She faces the camera like it isn't her first time to do it.

"What values are important to you as a couple?" Damn, Lionel. Please stop this. Alam kong ginagawa lang niya ang trabaho niya kaya hindi ko magawang magalit sa kanya.

"Values? I think.. together as a couple, we value our time. I'm sure all of you researched and most people here know that Troy has a busy schedule, so is mine. We both have work, and sinusulit namin ang mga oras na libre kami. Importante rin sa amin ang pagiging open-minded, I know sa trabaho ni Troy hindi mawawala ang ma-link sa ibang personalities, and I understand that. I belive in his love for me."

Doon natapos ang kasuklam-suklam na interview. Nagkulasan na ang mga tao pero hinintay kong makalabas si Syra bago ako umalis.

"Thank you for doing this interview, Ms. Syra." Nagbeso-beso ang dalawa bago napansin ni Lionel ang mga mapanuri kong mata.

He mouthed "I am sorry", tumango na lamang ako dahil naiintindihan ko.

"I didn't expect that you'll watch, and live? It's an achievement brother, in time you'll get used to it." Nagpanting ang tainga ko sa mga narinig kay Syra nang lumabas siya ng glass door at maabutan ako sa labas.

"I can't believe you have this overwhelming talent in storytelling, Syra." Humalukipkip ako. I badly want to strangle her neck just so she'll learn her lesson.

Napansin ko ang pait sa kanyang ekspresyon nang marinig ang sinabi ko. Hindi niya maaaring ipagkaila na hindi siya sinunghaling.

"I don't care what you think, kuya. And hindi ba dapat ka pang magpasalamat sa akin? I didn't leak the photos. I thought it was too disgusting to be seen on national television, and hindi magandang tularan."
