Chapter 49 [Better Place]

"And what the heck are you even doing here sa pamamahay ko??"

Mom immediately wanted to dismiss me as she saw me standing in front of her. May lakas pa siya ng loob na pagtaasan ako ng boses gayong hindi naman sa kanyang pag-aari ito.

"Correction mom, pamamahay ko." I feel like it's already nonsense kung igigiit ko pa ito sa kanya when I have all the papers to justify my ownership on this house.

Mom's rage filled the house and I can't bear see her like this, losing her calm.

"S-Syra? What did you say?" Bumaling sa kanya si Mommy at pinagtaasan ng kilay.

I don't know what's gotten into Syra's head and why she's acting like this. She started the act when I first visit them weeks ago.

"Because you are being ridiculous, Mom. Why can't you just accept the fact that there is nothing we can do. It's all over, Mom." I saw how genuine her eyes, and I was captivated by it.

Hindi nakasagot si Mommy at nakita ko ang pagtulo ng kanyang pinipigilang luha. I was neither bothered nor affected.

"Accept the defeat, Mom. We can still start anew."

When Mom cannot handle it anymore, she rushed her way up to the grand staircase. Susundan sana siya ng mga pulis ngunit pinigilan ko.

"You can go, I can handle this." I announced to them, leaving this matters to me.

"How about your mother? Is she..." the executor is worried about it.

Tumango siya at iyong dalawang pulis. I just brought them to scare Mom which I think did not work, dahil mas takot pala siya kay Syra.
