She Will Not Fall (Curren Caples fanfic)

The move chapter 1

Ive been on two planes and i'm almost in California, its been a long trip and I'm getting more and more excited to get to my new home.

Let me explain whats going on a little better. You see ever since i met these kids who were always skateboarding near my house I've been interested to learn more about it, and so learn more i did. I got into skateboarding at thirteen because of stupid little boys, a lot late but oh well. Anyways i started to finally forget about these boys at the age of eighteen and i then decided that the only way to actually forget about them was to move as far away as i could and well being Canadian i decided to move across the country, but on the United States of America side. Its a huge change but im ready for it being twenty-one. I decided to move after college, so i have a good education being an Early Childhood Educator, so here i am with my best friend Tegan sitting on the plane. For about a month or two we will be staying with my two friends i met from a skate trip i took to look at apartments a while ago their names are Candace and Cecilia. We are moving in with them first because we have to finish with paperwork before we actually move in.

The plane landed and we got off then got the bags that came with us, the rest of our things we have to wait to come, plus we have to buy beds, a couple of tvs, couches, chairs and some tables. We were going by the apartment before we go to Candace and Cecilia's apartment. I managed to get an apartment in Ventura, California and that's usually hard to do but i have ways i guess.

We got my rental car and drove to the apartment once we got to the office we signed the papers and talked about payments and other things. Then we were on our way to the girls apartment.

"Can you believe that we are actually doing this, this is so unreal we are as far away from your past as we can get, I still don't understand how we got this apartment." Tegan says and i reply with "I wonder if we are going to meet any pro skateboarders, gosh i hope so." Tegan gave me a look of 'really' and i just smiled and continued the drive to the apartment we will be staying at for the next little bit.

When we got to the apartment i went to the door to let us in while Tegan grabbed some of our bags but she couldn't handle all the bags and they all fell on her then i looked behind her and there where some boys skateboarding by but stopped when they saw her because she was so pretty and she looked like she needed help. The boys helped her and we got all the bags to our new apartment for the next little bit when one of my bags decided to break causing my completed skateboard Shawn, and the rest of my skate gear to fall out all over the ground, to which one of the boys with longish brown hair asked Teg if she skateboarded when she said "Nope, that would be my friend Talia here, i wouldnt be caught dead on one of those death traps."

The boys look was of 'oh i should of known who was the skateboarder, your too girly to try at all', then asked me if i wanted to skate sometime with them so i said sure and Tegan walked into the apartment mad that i took the spotlight away from her with my "death trap" and so we exchanged names and numbers, the boys where Ashton, the guy with the longish brown hair, Cody with the short blonde hair Tate who kind of reminded me of the reason i really wanted to move out here Curren Capales and Austyn the short black haird guy.

After we got bags sorted out, we got rooms i would be rooming with Candace while Tegan got the living room. She wasnt really sad because the girls didnt really know each other. When Cecilia had to go to work she told me to bring my skateboard with us while she took me to her work, Tegan wanted to get to know the two girls better and this was a good chance for her to get to know Candace so Ceci and i where off.

We pulled up to a building that i thought that i know pretty well and Ceci was telling me about her job being connected to skateboarding outside of the building, our loves, so i almost screamed "OH MY GOSH, YOU WORK AT THE BERRICS." Then i added "You never told me that, why did you leave this part out." Just then Mike Mo Capaldi, Mikey Taylor, Paul Rodriguez and Sean Malto come running out of the front asking what was wrong they saw Cecilia and said hey to her then saw me and asked her who i was.

Ceci said "This is Talia, she just moved here she is an amazing skateboarder and i was wondering if you guys would skate with her because shes new in town and i think her friend who came with her and Candi are becoming friends and she just wants to skate?" P-rod said "Of course she can come with us Steve has a lot for you to do." I followed every one like a lost puppy and from across the room i saw two guys, a blonde haired guy and a black haired guy and I almost fainted because these two guys are my favourite people ever.

While I was staring at them Louie saw me and nudged his friend in the side and they were both looking at me so I looked away and started to skate and when I was done I was sitting on one of the ledges and the two boys came up to me. "You are really good." Louie said. "Th-that was mo-more than good Lou, that wa-was amazing." Said his stuttering friend and I know who it was right away, Curren Caples the boy I fell in love with through a computer screen.

"Th-thanks" I said 'great now I seem like a stuttering mess of a skater chick' I thought.

Curren and I just stared at each other for what seemed like forever until Malto came up and wondered what was going on, to which Louie said "Well, remember a little earlier, like maybe 20 minutes before we herd the screaming, what was that btw? And then this pretty lady came in?" "This is Talia and she saw that her friend worked here and she was happy. "Yeah what about 20 minutes before Tal came in?" He turned to me "I can call you Tal right?" I said yes then Louie said "Well remember when Curren said 'I'm never going to fall in love'?" Sean replied with "You think CURREN LIKES TALIA." Yelling the last part for all to hear.

Everyone turned towards us four and I got even more nervous then I already was and it seemed like Curren didn't know what to do. I got up and went to skate around again trying new tricks and doing everything that was in The Berrics. Then i saw that Curren was sitting alone so i went to sit with him without letting anyone know, so he took me to a private room where he told me that it was a lounge room. We just talked and talked and did some more talking until we learned everything about each other and he was the second person to know about the real reason i moved out here.
