The alarm clock on the nightstand was loudly beeping and flashing its red numbers, waking both Scott and Mitch up. Mitch reached one of his arms out and felt around the nightstand to turn it off. After a few minutes of just hitting the nightstand over and over, he sat up and slammed the snooze button. Then he turned on the lamp next to the bed. He ran a hand down his face and sighed tiredly before standing up and stretching.
"Scott, babe, we need to go to rehearsal. It's time to get up," he said softly. Scott mumbled something incoherent and pulled the covers over his head to go back to sleep. Mitch rolled his eyes. "Scott, come on." He got no reply. "Scott, are you serious?" he asked. Still nothing. Then he let out an annoyed sigh. "I swear to God, if he went back to sleep....," he muttered.
Mitch walked around to Scott's side of the bed and looked at him. He couldn't help but smile at how adorable Scott was, even with the covers over his head. He gently laid a hand on Scott's bare shoulder and lightly shook him, trying to wake him up. Scott groaned and tried to shrug Mitch's hand off his shoulder. "Scotty, we're going to be late to rehearsal." Scott didn't budge. He just stayed where he was laying in their bed. "Scott, I was hoping you would get up on your own, but since you're not going to, I have to do this."
As soon as Mitch said the sentence, he took the covers and pulled them back from Scott's head. Scott immediately buried his face into the pillow, trying to adjust to the soft light in the room. As soon as he adjusted to it, he looked up at Mitch with a slightly annoyed expression. Mitch leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to his boyfriend's lips. "Sweetie, I know you don't want to get up. I don't either. But you have to, or we'll be late."
Scott sat up and swung his legs over the side of the bed. He then slowly stood up and walked over to the closet to pull out some comfortable clothes to wear to rehearsal. He didn't feel like doing much with his hair, so he ran a hand through it and threw on a snapback. Then he pulled on some shoes and went to the bathroom, where Mitch was already doing his makeup.
Scott came up behind Mitch and wrapped his arms around his torso, making him jump a little bit. "Oh my God! You almost made me mess up my makeup!" Mitch exclaimed. Scott giggled and kissed him on the cheek. "Sorry, baby," he mumbled. Then he let go of Mitch and brushed his teeth. He finished up and went back into the bedroom to grab his phone. When he got it, he put it in his hoodie pocket. "I'll be downstairs when you're ready to go," he called to Mitch. "Alright. Be there in a few," Mitch replied.
Mitch finished up his makeup and brushed his teeth quickly before picking out some clothes for rehearsal. He got himself dressed and ready before grabbing his phone and turning off the lamp to head downstairs. When he got there, Scott was leaning against the front door on his phone. He looked up when he noticed that Mitch was in the room. "Ready?" he asked. Mitch nodded and Scott grabbed the keys as they walked out the door, closing and locking it behind them.
They drove for about half an hour until they got to Lindsey's studio, where everyone else was waiting. Once they got inside and the others noticed they had arrived, they got started. Lindsey did a quick warm up with them and then decided to go over the choreography for their upcoming tour.
About halfway through rehearsal, Lindsey gave them a break to get water and rest a little bit. All of them were sweating and out of breath from repeatedly going over the choreography. It wasn't long before everyone was sitting on the floor on their phone. Mitch realized that Scott was gone, but he assumed he had just gone to the bathroom or something, so he shrugged it off and assumed that Scott would be back soon.
Their break was up and everyone was up and ready to go, but Scott was still not in the room. "Hey guys, where did Scott go?" Kirstie asked. The others just shrugged. "I'll go find him," Mitch said. Then he disappeared down the hallway to go look for Scott.
He found a small lounge in the back of the hall and noticed that the door was open a crack. He carefully pushed open the door and found Scott asleep on a small couch. He leaned against the doorframe and smiled at how peaceful he looked. His snapback had fallen off a little due to the position he was in and his hair was messy. His face was half buried in the throw pillow on the couch and his hand was in front of his face. Mitch almost wanted to go back and tell the others that Scott was asleep and that he didn't want to wake him up. He knew he couldn't, though, as Scott needed to be at rehearsal.
Even though he didn't want to, Mitch figured he had to get Scott up and back to rehearsal. He kneeled down to where Scott's face was and moved Scott's hand away from it. He paused for a few seconds to look at Scott's face again. God he's cute, he thought. He snapped himself out of his thoughts. "Scott, love, wake up," he said quietly. Scott blinked his eyes open a couple times and then smiled up at Mitch. "Hi, baby," he mumbled. "Hi, sweetheart," Mitch replied with a small smile. "Break's over. We need to get back to rehearsal," he said. "I was out that long?" Scott asked. Mitch nodded. "Shit," Scott muttered. Mitch laughed a little bit. "Don't worry, babe. It's fine."
Scott pushed his body off the couch and pulled Mitch in for a quick kiss. Then Mitch led him back out to where everyone else was waiting with questioning looks on their faces. "What took you guys so long?" Avi asked. "I found this one sleeping on the couch in the back lounge and I had to wake him up. He's a bit of a heavy sleeper," Mitch explained, teasing Scott a little bit. "Hey!" Scott exclaimed as he lightly hit Mitch's shoulder. Mitch just smiled up at him and stood on his toes to give Scott a peck on the lips. "Now that you guys are back, let's get back to work," Lindsey instructed.
They finished up rehearsal for the day and went home. They had a quick dinner and changed into pajamas. Then they cuddled in bed watching TV. Scott's head was resting on Mitch's chest and his arms were wrapped around Mitch's torso. Mitch had absentmindedly started playing with Scott's hair as he watched Spongebob, putting Scott to sleep.
Mitch knew that Scott had fallen asleep when he felt Scott's arms loosen around his torso and heard Scott's breathing even out. Mitch carefully scooted himself from a sitting position to a laying position without moving or waking Scott. He turned the lamp and TV off before wrapping his arms around Scott's waist and falling asleep himself.
**A/N: Yay I updated again! I know all of my one shots have Scott asleep at some point, but that's because Sleepy Scotty is my weakness, so I always want to put it in my stories. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it! Love you all and stay fcute! ❤
