"Mitchy, let's go out somewhere," Scott suggested. "Why? It's so cold outside," Mitch replied. "I don't know. I just want to go out and do something like get coffee, go shopping, or just something," Scott said. Then he got an idea. "Wait! Oh my God! I just thought of something!" he exclaimed. "Do I have to do any work?" Mitch asked. "No. You just have to walk a little bit," Scott answered. "Alright. That's still physical activity, but I guess I'm on board. What are you thinking?" Mitch asked. "We should go find a neighborhood that has a ton of Christmas lights up and walk around and look at them," Scott suggested. "I'm good with that," Mitch agreed. "Yay! We can get coffee on the way if you want," Scott offered. "Oh, yes. Totally down," Mitch said as he walked upstairs to get ready, Scott following behind him.
"Babe, can you pass me one of your hoodies, please?" Mitch asked. "Which one?" Scott replied. "Any one. I would have been more specific if I wanted a certain one," Mitch sassed. Scott giggled. "Damn, baby. The sass is coming through today," he said as he pulled out his red plaid one and handed it to Mitch.
"Thank you," Mitch said as he slipped on the hoodie. When he pulled the hem down, it ended at the middle of his thighs. "God you're so cute in my clothes," Scott said as he slipped on the Pentatonix Rose Gold one.
"I know. That's why I wear them. Also, they're comfortable and they smell good," Mitch said.
They put on some shoes and grabbed their phones before leaving the room. They walked downstairs and to the front door. Scott grabbed his keys and wallet and opened the door. Mitch followed him out and shut the door behind them, stepping aside to let Scott lock it. "Fuck, it's cold," Mitch muttered, pulling his hands further into the sleeves of Scott's hoodie. "Don't worry, baby. I'll turn on the heater," Scott said as he unlocked the car. Scott stuck the key in the ignition and started the car, turning the heater on right away.
He backed out of the driveway and started driving to the neighborhood that always did a lot of lights for Christmas. He stopped at a drive-through Starbucks to get them some coffee. He ordered a grande Peppermint Mocha for himself and a grande Chestnut Praline Latte for Mitch. After they got their drinks, Scott thanked the worker and rolled up the window, continuing the drive to their destination.
They got there in about 15 minutes, and Scott parked the car. "We're here. Come on," he said. They got out of the car and shut their doors. Scott quickly locked it and Mitch walked around to meet him at the sidewalk. Scott offered Mitch his hand and Mitch took it. Scott laced their fingers together and they began walking down the sidewalk.
"Wow. This is beautiful," Scott commented as he looked around at the houses, sipping his drink. "Oh my god!" Mitch exclaimed. "What is it?" Scott asked. "Look at that house!" Mitch said, pointing at a house that was covered in lights. "Let's go get a closer look at that one," Scott suggested. Mitch nodded eagerly and pretty much pulled Scott over to it.
When they got to the house, they were both impressed. "Wow," Mitch whispered. "It's almost as pretty as you," Scott commented. Mitch scoffed. "Please. This house is equally as beautiful as I am, if not more," he teased. "You're definitely prettier in my eyes," Scott said. They proceeded to look at the decorations covering the lawn in pure awe.
Then they left the house and continued walking down the street, swinging their hands between them. One house in particular completely caught Scott's eyes. It had colored lights mixed with gold and white lights everywhere, and there was an array of huge inflatable lawn decorations and lit-up reindeer. Some of the inflatables actually moved and there were white snowflakes projected all over the outside of it. "Oh wow. Baby, look at this one," he said. Mitch looked where Scott was looking and his jaw dropped a little bit. "Damn....," he said. "I know," Scott agreed.
He then dropped Mitch's hand and pulled out his phone. "I have to get a picture of it," he said. He opened up his camera app and held the phone up, stepping back a little bit to get the entire house in the frame. He then snapped the picture and brought his phone back down to look at it. "It came out good," he nodded in approval.
They continued walking down the street and Mitch suddenly gasped. "What is it, baby? Are you okay?" Scott asked, worried. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just saw that tree over there," he paused to let Scott look at the tree he was pointing at. It had gold lights wrapped around it. "Yeah, what about it?" Scott replied. "What if we take a selfie over there and then have someone take a picture of us kissing?" Mitch suggested. "Alright," Scott agreed.
They then walked over to the tree and Scott pulled out his phone again. He found a good angle and held it up to get them both in frame. They did a smiling one and then silly ones like kisses on the cheek and lips and goofy faces. "Now let's see who's willing to take our pic," Mitch said. Scott nodded and looked around. "He looks promising," he said, pointing at a man who was also walking hand in hand with another guy. "Oh thank god," Scott said. Mitch looked at him confused. "That guy is holding hands with his boyfriend. Now I know he won't judge us," he said.
He walked up to the couple. "Excuse me?" One of the guys looked up at him. "Would you mind taking a picture of me and my boyfriend by that tree over there?" he asked shyly, pointing toward the tree where Mitch was standing. "Girl, of course!" the man replied. "Thank you so much. I can take one of you two after if you want," Scott offered. "Sure. Thank you," the guy said. The couple followed Scott to the tree and Scott handed the guy his phone before walking over to Mitch.
"Alright. On the count of three. One, two, three!" the guy said and as soon as he said "two," Scott leaned down and Mitch stood up on his toes to meet him halfway. Scott put his hands on Mitch's waist as Mitch put his hands on Scott's chest. "Cute as hell!" the guy said as he took the picture. He then walked over and gave Scott his phone back. Scott looked at the picture. "Thank you so much," he said. "You're welcome!" the guy said as he handed Scott his own phone.
Scott let the couple get into position before counting to three and taking the picture for him. "Thanks so much, hunty!" the guy said. "Oh, no problem. Y'all are cute," he said. "Awww, thanks! So are you two!" the other guy replied. They waved at each other and the other couple walked off.
They kept walking for a few more minutes before they both started getting tired. "I'm tired. You wanna go home?" Scott asked. "Yes please," Mitch replied. They walked hand in hand back to their car. When they reached it, Scott unlocked it again and they opened the doors and got in. They shut the doors and Scott started the car again for the ride home.
They got home quickly and got out of the car once it was parked. They shut the doors and Scott locked it before they walked up to the front door. They went inside and Scott closed and locked the door behind them. They made sure everything was off and locked before heading upstairs to their room. Mitch removed his shoes, socks, and jeans and then went to brush his teeth in the bathroom. Scott followed suit and removed his shoes and socks, followed by his jeans. He put on pajama pants and took off his hoodie before going to brush his teeth. When he was done, Mitch was already laying in bed. Scott crawled into bed next to Mitch and spooned him, both of them falling asleep quickly.
