**A/N: They're married in this one too oops

Scott and Mitch were at the studio recording music for Superfruit. They had been there for almost twelve hours because they wanted to see if they could get every song recorded in one session. They had arrived at 7:30 AM and they were still there at 7 PM. In hindsight, it had been a terrible idea. By this point, both boys were tired and just wanted to go home and lay in bed. Their throats were almost hoarse from recording everything and they were both exhausted from having to be up at 6:45 to try to avoid the nonstop LA traffic and get to the studio on time.

They were currently taking a quick break to rest their voices a little bit before recording the last song. They were sitting together on the couch, phones and water bottles in their hands. Soon, they felt ready to go again.

Scott opted to go first, standing up and heading into the booth. He put on the headphones to start recording his solo parts against the track. Mitch smiled as he watched his husband sing in the booth with so much passion, despite being drained. When Scott was done, he swapped with Mitch and let him record his solo parts. Mitch made eye contact with Scott through the glass and smiled as he was singing, blushing at Scott's heart eyes that only showed themselves when he was looking at Mitch.

When Mitch was done, he had Scott come into the booth to record together. Mitch had main vocals while Scott did backup vocals. They finished recording the song and stepped out. "Alright, boys. Good job today. You worked hard, and I think you deserve to go home and get some rest," their producer said. They thanked him, gathered up their stuff, and left the studio. They got in the car and Scott started it up to begin driving home.

When they got home, Scott turned off the car and they got out, closing the doors and walking up to the front of their house. Scott unlocked the door and opened it, walking inside with Mitch following behind him. Mitch closed and locked the door behind them and turned around. He saw Scott looking through the kitchen to find something for dinner. "Babe, let's just order in. We can have something postmated," he said. Scott nodded and closed the refrigerator. He then walked over to where Mitch was sitting on the couch and sat down. Mitch showed him his phone, which had the Postmates app open. He held it out to Scott, silently telling him he wanted to know what Scott wanted.

Scott gently took the phone and scrolled through the options before stopping at one place and showing it to Mitch for approval. Mitch nodded and Scott tapped on Chipotle. They looked through the menu and tapped "order" on the stuff they wanted. Scott confirmed the order and looked over at Mitch. "Do you want me to pay?" he asked. Mitch shook his head. "No, that's okay. I'll pay. It's my account anyway," he said. Scott nodded and handed Mitch his phone back. Mitch paid through the app and they waited for their food to arrive.

About half an hour later, the food arrived and Scott got up to answer the door and get the food. He thanked the deliveryman and gave him a 15% tip. The deliveryman left and Scott closed the door before bringing the food to the couch. Mitch turned on Netflix and put a movie on as Scott set the food down and went to get drinks from the kitchen. He grabbed a Dr. Pepper for himself and a La Croix for Mitch. He then shut the fridge with his foot and brought the drinks into the living room.

He sat down on the couch next to Mitch and grabbed his food. They ate in a comfortable silence and watched Netflix. When they were done, they got rid of the trash and went back to cuddling on the couch. "Babe, I'm gonna make tea to help my throat. You want some?" Mitch asked. Scott nodded and let go of Mitch to let him go make their tea.

Mitch stood up and walked into the kitchen to start heating up the water. He pulled out two mugs and two tea bags. He set the tea bags into the mugs and waited patiently for the water to heat up, humming quietly to himself. When the kettle was starting to whistle, he turned off the stove and picked it up. He poured the hot water into the mugs and moved the tea bags around in them, adding a little bit of honey and lemon before picking them up and bringing them to the couch.

He handed one to Scott as he sat back down. "Careful, babe. It's hot," he said. Scott nodded and blew on the tea a couple times before lightly sipping it. "Thanks, honey," he said, leaning over and kissing Mitch's cheek. "No problem," Mitch replied.

A little while later, they turned everything off downstairs and headed upstairs to lay in bed and watch TV in their room. They quickly changed into their pajamas and got into bed, slipping under the covers. They were tired, but they didn't feel like sleeping yet, so they just watched TV in bed, though Mitch was the only one who was really paying attention. It was 10:00 now, so they wouldn't be asleep for a few more hours. Mitch was laying on his back with Scott next to him. Scott was on his side facing Mitch with an arm thrown over Mitch's waist and one of his long legs nestled between both of Mitch's legs. His head was almost buried into the side of Mitch's neck and he was currently preoccupied with leaving little kisses on Mitch's jaw.

"Babe," Mitch said. "Hmm?" Scott replied. "What do you think life would be like if we never met?" Mitch asked. Scott stopped kissing Mitch and placed his head onto his shoulder, confused by his question. "What?" he asked. "What do you think life would be like if we never met?" Mitch repeated. Scott thought for a second. "I don't know, but it would probably be horrible. Why?" he replied. Mitch shrugged, moving Scott's head a little bit. "Just some late night thoughts, that's all," he said.

Scott thought again for a little while. "If we had never met, we wouldn't be anywhere close to where we are now. We wouldn't have been best friends if we hadn't met at CATS, and then stayed best friends through high school. I never would have contacted you and Kirst to start Pentatonix with me. Then on top of that, we wouldn't have found Kevin and Avi, so we wouldn't have competed on The Sing Off. If we hadn't been on The Sing Off, we never would have won and gotten a record deal and put out YouTube covers. We wouldn't have gone on tours and won three Grammy awards. And finally, if you and I had never met, we wouldn't have dated for four years before getting engaged, let alone married." He paused.

"Now that I've been with you romantically for so long, I can't even imagine what it would be like if I wasn't. Who knows? Maybe I'd be dating another guy, maybe even married with kids. But I don't want to imagine that. I only want to be here with you, happily married with a cat as our child."

Mitch giggled. "I love you," he said. Scott smiled up at him. "I love you too," he responded. Mitch used two of his fingers to tilt Scott's head up and leaned down to softly kiss him. "I love our little late night talks," Scott commented. "Me too. Sometimes they're deep questions, and other times, they're random topics," Mitch agreed.

They cuddled and talked about random things for a couple more hours before Mitch turned off the lamp and turned to face Scott. He knew Scott was getting sleepy, judging by how he was rambling about things like how much he liked cats even though he was allergic, how being with Mitch had changed his life for the better, and what he wanted to do the next day.

Mitch listened to Scott ramble without complaint, only facial expressions that seemed to say "what the fuck." He looked at the clock and saw that it was around midnight. Scott was still rambling, but his voice was starting to trail off, indicating that he was starting to fall asleep. Mitch cut him off. "Shh, hon. As much as I would love to hear what's going on in that pretty head of yours, we should get some sleep. You're already halfway there," he said.

Scott just hummed softly and pulled himself closer to Mitch. He shifted his head to bury his face further into Mitch's neck, falling asleep shortly after with the help of Mitch's fingers combing through his hair. Mitch turned the TV off before tossing the remote somewhere on the bed and closing his eyes. He felt the slight shift of the bed as Wyatt jumped up. A few seconds later, he felt Wyatt's body up against his feet and fell asleep himself.
