Pentatonix was going to be performing their first show of tour. They were currently sitting in their dressing rooms waiting for the crew to get them for soundcheck and VIP. They had been there 5 hours prior to soundcheck, which was 8 hours prior to the show.

Scott and Mitch were sitting together on the couch in their dressing room. Mitch was leaning against Scott's side and scrolling through his phone while Scott was sitting with an arm across Mitch's shoulders, phone in his other hand. Mitch looked up at Scott and leaned up to kiss his jaw. Scott smiled at the action. "Babe?" Mitch said softly. "Hmm?" Scott replied, looking down at him. "I love you," Mitch said. "I love you too," Scott responded, leaning down and gently kissing Mitch's lips.

Apparently, one kiss wasn't enough affection for Mitch, so he climbed into Scott's lap and curled up, sitting sideways. Then he leaned to the right and shifted his weight into Scott, resting his head on Scott's shoulder and putting his hand on Scott's chest as he shifted his head to rest in the crook of Scott's neck. He started absentmindedly drawing patterns with his index finger against Scott's shirt. Scott giggled. "Someone's a little clingy today, aren't they?" he teased. Mitch just nodded and pressed himself further into Scott's body.

"Come out of there. I wanna kiss you," Scott said, using his index and middle finger to tilt Mitch's chin up before leaning down to kiss him. Mitch then shifted in Scott's lap and threw a leg over his waist to straddle him without breaking their kiss. Scott wrapped his arms around Mitch's waist. Mitch then placed his hands on Scott's chest and leaned forward a little to kiss him a little harder. Scott tilted his head to deepen the kiss and started running his hands up and down Mitch's back.

The two boys were so caught up in their kiss that they didn't hear the soft knock on the door from Kirstie. "Guys, come on! We need to get to--". She cut herself off as she opened the door and saw the two boys kissing each other. "Oh my god!" she exclaimed, making them jump apart. "Oh, uh.....hey, Kirstie," Mitch greeted awkwardly. She just stared at them in shock, her jaw dropped and her eyes wide. There was a long pause before she spoke again.

"Wait, so are you guys.....?" she asked, trailing off and hoping they knew what she was referring to. Scott looked up at Mitch, who was still straddling his lap. "You wanna tell her or should I?" he asked. "Tell me what?" Kirstie interrupted. Scott sighed. "Yes, Kirst. Mitch and I are dating," he answered. There was a quick moment of silence before Kirstie started to smile really wide. "Wait, really? You guys aren't calling yourselves "platonic" or "undefined" anymore?" she asked. Scott nodded.

"Oh my god, yay! The others will be so happy for you guys!" she exclaimed, walking into the room and to the couch to hug the boys. Then she sat down on it. "So how long have you been together?" she asked. "Since we were filming for Sing Off, which was 2011, so about a year now," Mitch answered. Kirstie's eyes widened. "My two best friends have been dating for a whole year and they haven't told me about it?!" she said in shock, her voice growing louder. "Shhh, keep it down! The door is open, and we'd rather not be exposed! We want to tell the others when we're ready!" Scott said.

Kirstie lowered her voice. "Why don't you just tell them now?" she asked. Scott shrugged. "We're just not sure how they'd react. What if they don't approve of it?" he said. Kirstie gave him an "are you serious" look. "Scott, I'm sure they'd be just fine with it. You told me, and I reacted positively. What makes you think they'd be any different?" she said, trying to reason with him. "I don't know, Kirst. Frankly, you were the one we were the least worried about, but we're just not sure about Avi and Kevin," he explained.

"Come on, just do it," Kirstie said, leaning forward and putting her hand on Scott's knee to try to calm him. "How about this? Once we all meet up and we're all together, why don't you tell them? You don't have to tell the fans just yet if you're not ready, but at least let two of your closest friends know," she suggested. Then she added on to it. "On a related note, your parents already know, right?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at them. Scott giggled and nodded. "Yes, Kirst, our parents do know. They were there when we first started dating, and they were the only ones who knew before you found out," he responded.
