Sleepy Boy

Scott and Mitch were laying in bed in their hotel room after a long day of press for Pentatonix in New York. First, they had to get up extremely early to get ready for their performance on Good Morning America. Then they had to rush around to different studios for both radio and TV interviews. They hardly had any time to eat or go out on their own to go shopping or sightseeing, and by the end of the day, everyone was exhausted.

The two boys were currently cuddled together under the covers, Mitch sitting up against the headboard as Scott's head rested against his chest. Scott's arms were around Mitch's waist and Mitch was running his fingers through his sleepy boyfriend's hair, kissing his head as he watched Spongebob on the TV in their room. Scott had fallen asleep an hour or two ago, but Mitch was still wide awake, considering it was only 10 PM in LA, meaning it was 1 AM where they were. He was used to being up late even after Scott had gone to sleep, so he passed the time with his favorite show playing on the TV screen and his favorite boy cuddled up against him.

The bedside lamp was still on, so to give the Kids some content, Mitch decided to post on Snapchat and Instagram. He unlocked his phone and opened the Snapchat app. He had noticed that Scott was snoring a little, very lightly, but still audibly, so he decided to take a video of it. He paused the TV screen so the camera would pick up on Scott's soft snores. He began filming and kept the camera above his own face for a little bit, a small smile making its way onto it. Then he moved it over Scott's face and brought it closer so he would be audible. He left it there for a few seconds before moving it back over his own face and smiling again, stopping the video after. He captioned it "sleepy babe is out cold 😴❤" and posted it to his Snapchat story.

Then, for Instagram, he just took a selfie of them, making sure to get Scott in frame and kissing Scott's head as he snapped it. He posted it to his story with the caption "my forever cuddle buddy ❤️" and closed all his apps, locking his phone and plugging it in before putting it on the nightstand. He then turned off the lamp and TV and shifted to lay on his back without jostling Scott, falling asleep soon after.

The next morning, when Mitch woke up, he could feel the tip of Scott's nose and the soft puffs of air from Scott breathing against his neck, meaning he had buried his face there during the night. He decided to take another story for the Kids, so he opened up Instagram again and took another selfie of them. In this one, the phone had been switched to the opposite hand from the previous night, and he had lifted his free arm, resting his hand on the back of Scott's neck and holding him close. He captioned it "mornings with @scotthoying" before posting it and setting his phone back down.

Later that morning, while Mitch was scrolling through his social media, Scott woke up and pulled his face out of Mitch's neck to lightly kiss his jaw, telling him he was awake. Mitch jolted a little at the sudden action before looking over at Scott and smiling.

"You're awake," he said softly. Scott just nodded. "I am. Morning, babe."

Then as he scooted up to be face-to-face with Mitch, Mitch opened Snapchat again. He filmed as Scott leaned over to kiss him. Mitch turned his head to let Scott kiss his lips, and once they pulled apart, he couldn't help but giggle at least a little bit.

"What?" Scott asked. "I got that on Snapchat," Mitch answered.

Scott just shrugged. "It's fine. They know we're together anyway."

Then he nudged Mitch's cheek with his nose. "Put your phone away. Let's sleep some more."

Mitch wasn't going to go back to sleep, but he put his phone down anyway, after typing out a quick caption of "morning kisses ❤" on the video. Scott moved off of Mitch to bury half his face into his pillow and pulled the blankets further over himself, letting out a soft, content sigh, along with a sleepy "I love you" as he went back to sleep.

Mitch just smiled to himself. "I love you too, babe," he whispered, leaning down and kissing Scott's forehead before turning on Spongebob to start their day off. He did take one more picture for his story, though. In this one, he wasn't in the picture, but he was laying facing Scott, so he scooted back a little and snapped a picture of Scott's face, well the half of it that wasn't in the pillow. He looked at it for a little bit, smiling at how cute it was. He posted it with the captions "My sleeping beauty" and "the actual love of my life @scotthoying" and set his phone down, starting his day with two of his favorite things: Spongebob and a sleeping Scott.
