[Hyemi's POV]

I dropped my bag in my apartment and laughed at the idea of Jungkook running on a treadmill, dead out of breath.
Then I thought, his figure is too good to not be athletic, and my smile fell straight-faced.
I stared at my closet and then turned to see my playstation.
I promised goldjeon I would come to him with more math homework, but I wanted to prove Jungkook wrong.

I jumped up and walked to my closet, picking out a tank top and leggings.
I threw my hair up in a ponytail and grabbed my running shoes from the bottom of the closet.

"Let's see about that, Jungkook." I murmured to myself, smiling at the sneakers I held in my hands.

I laced them tightly onto my feet and stood up, throwing my headband on my head and grabbing a water bottle from the fridge.
I threw it in my small bag and pulled it over my shoulders.
I grabbed my key and ran out of the apartment, making a sharp left, deeper into the hallway.
I arrived at the closest door to my left, being Jungkook's.

I turned and knocked loudly.
I heard the lock snap and the handle turn as the door opened quickly and Jungkook stood. He was in a tank top, revealing his biceps and broad shoulders.
I swallowed hard, but smiled it off.

"You wanted to go, right?" I asked, smiling.

He laughed. "I did."
He grabbed his bag from behind him on the floor and dug his keys out, pushing me away so he could lock the door. He followed behind as I quickly walked out of the building to the bus stop to catch the next bus heading South.
When it arrived, 10 minutes later, Jungkook and I took our usual spots far away from each other.
I shoved my earbuds in my ears and played my hype playlist to get me pumped up to take Jungkook on.
When the bus arrived, a block from the gym, I jumped out with energy and started walking as Jungkook followed behind.

"You know this is a block away right?" he asked, trailing slowly.

"Yeah. Warm-up, right?" I smiled, but he was behind me, so he couldn't see the stupid smile I had on.

I could hear his small laugh and I felt a small pebble hit the back of my shoe.

I stopped walking. "Passive aggressive are we?"

I turned to see him stopped as well. "Sorry, princess."

I rolled my eyes and walked faster than I was before. He followed behind at the same speed, keeping the consistant distance between the two of us.

When we arrived, I threw my bag in a locker and put my phone in my waistband so it didn't fall.
I walked in and did a few stretches to avoid pulling something and embarrassing myself.

"Stretching? I didn't know you were such a pro." Jungkook laughed and rolled his head in circles.

I pulled my arm across my chest. "What, like you?"

"Exactly. Now you're getting it."

I rolled my eyes, again. I finished quickly stretching and walked to the treadmill, jumping on and Jungkook took the one next to me and looked forward at the mirror.

I smiled at him through the mirror but he purposely didn't make eye contact.

"Ready?" I asked.

"You're waiting for me? I was waiting for you to conduct a meditation before we began." he finally made eye contact through the reflection.

I laughed. "You dumbass."

"You're literally looking in a mirror honey..." he smiled wide.

"Am I looking at myself? No. I'm looking at you." I made dead eye contact to ensure he knew he was the dumbass.

He smiled and his eyes fell to the screen on the treadmill.
He turned it on and turned the speed to four.

I turned the treadmill on and turned it to seven.

"Okay, Miss Showoff, I was starting slow to make you feel better, but if you're gonna play that game, we'll play hard I guess." Jungkook smiled and his finger pushed the button to increase speed.

He was now running at ten. I increased the speed to twelve. The highest I could go was 15, so he'd better not keep this up.

He smiled and is hair bounced on his forehead while he looked at me through the mirror.

"Who said it was a game?" I said, turning my head to meet his eyes through the reflection.

He chuckled. "Fine."

I smiled and ran comfortably with the speed. Jungkook stayed at eleven and I could see his face start to become tired.

I didn't comment, because I wanted to see how far he could go on his own.

I simply payed attention and sand along to the music playing through my earbuds.

I watched as Jungkook slowly fell slower and slower, until he had to stop.

"I'm... umm... gonna go do weights." He tried to hide the heavy breathing.

I smiled and slowed the treadmill to a stop. "Weights. Fun."
I hopped off and took a quick sip of water, feeling rather refreshed than tired.

He rolled his eyes and walked to the open floor with the weights lined up by colour, a colour per weight.

Jungkook grabbed a 15 pound weight and I did the same.

"Careful darling, I don't want your arms breaking." he stared straight ahead at the wall.

"If anything, yours would break first, since you can't even catch your breath."

He shook his head quietly and laughed at none but himself.

I challenged his ability to lift weights and he side glared my abilities.

"Underestimated me, didn't you?" I said, placing the weights back at the end of the session.

He threw his bag over his shoulder and looked me dead in the eye. "I'll admit, you did better than I thought, but you didn't beat me."

"Sure. That's why I not only ran faster on the tread than you, but you even stopped before me." I smiled and sipped my water, leaving him speechless.

"Whatever, brat." He sipped water.

I threw a towel at his face. I smiled when he threw it back at me and it became a towel fight.
We threw the towel back and forth until we both grew tired and the sun started to set.

"Okay, okay, lets go home it's getting late." I said, grabbing my bag from the locker.

We got on the evening bus, taking us back North, dropping us off back at home.

I smiled as I stepped off the bus.

I beat you at one thing, Jungkook.
