Imperfect With Perfect

Why?

Eva's POV

“Eva, wake up sweetie.” Adam whispered into my ear.

My eyes blinked a couple of times before fully opening them since the curtains were open revealing the sunlight. The blur cleared up and Adam was facing me bending down with a huge grin on his face while carrying food.

“Good morning, cupcake! I brought you some breakfast.” Adam told me.

“What's the occasion? And what's up with cupcake?” I asked confused.

“Cupcake is your nickname now, and now occasion. I just wanted to demonstrate how much I love you by giving you breakfast in bed. I can't do that for you?” Adam asked me.

“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you, it's just that this is very unexpected.” I explained.

“Don't worry, I understand.” Adam said.

 I looked at what he was carrying and it looked absolutely delicous.  I sat up and looked at him with shock.

"The breakfast you made looks amazing! You outdid yourself today didn't you?" I asked him.

"I suppose and it'll taste amazing as well." Adam declared.

"I can't wait! Lemme just brush my teeth and I will eat it." I responded.

"Okay." Adam said.

I got up and quickly brushed my teeth. I thought about why Adam was doing this. Oh, I remember now. Today was the day. I finished brushing my teeth and climbed back to bed to have my breakfast. It was so nicely detailed, the rose on the skinny vase, the fork and knife on top of the napkin on my right, apple juice in a beautiful cup, and the meal on a grand plate. He really did outdid himself just for today. I took a good breath in and dug in. Adam was sitting beside me making sure that I enjoyed my breakfast. 

"Did you eat breakfast already?" I asked him while covering my mouth with my hand.

He nodded.

"Good, now I can eat in peace." I told him.

He was looking at me with such admiration.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. You just look so beautiful this morning." Adam told me.

Beautiful? My hair is a mess and I probably look exhausted from being woken up at this time. I raised an eyebrow in suspicion.

"Oh really? You think I look beautiful right now?" I asked.

"I know so." Adam grinned with confidence.

I chuckled.

I finished my food and got up to put the dishes away but Adam got up and took it away from me.

"No sweetie, I'll put it away. You just relax and enjoy." Adam told me.

"Umm okay. Thanks." I thanked.

Adam gave me a kiss.

"My pleasure, munchkin." He responded and walked out the bedroom.

I sat back on my bed and decide to watch some television. I wondered why he was acting this way until it hit me. 

He's excited for the making of our kid... very charming. 

Adam returned smiling and what not while I was not even paying attention to the television. He sat down right next to me.

"What are ya watching?" He asked kind of confused with what I was 'watching'.

I look up confused as well since I don't even know what I was watching either. It turned out I was watching one of my favorite cartoon show but many think is anime, which is what I like to call it too.
