victims..

survivors..

Up above is a page in a journal of mine (quote journal)- I have a page dedicated to 9/11. I drew and wrote all that awhile ago so forgive my awful drawing skills and my handwriting. But I just wanted to share it.

As well as... last years log book entry.

17 years ago many men and women gave their lives

17 years ago many men and women gave their lives. And many saved lives at the sacrifice of their own. Everyone deserves our respect and to be remembered.

I find it sad that only three people have mentioned 9/11 today to me. I find it sad that my fellow Americans seem to gloss over this as just another day.

You know what? At 6 am 17 years ago men and women of all races and ages thought the same. That today was just another day...

But it is not. And I am ashamed.. we have told our generations of Americans since then... Never forget. And here we are now. Passing it off as another day. Today. Deserves to be remembered and today needs to be remembered.

I believe DragonWriter664 said it best it her log book today: "shame on all of us for complaining about little things in our life"
I agree. And I am not separate from this. I complain about little things and I am ashamed of that.

When our fellow country men and women suffered so horribly on this day...

We united on this day 17 years ago, no one was labeled black or white or old and young. We united as *Americans*. None of that mattered. When they started slaughtering Americans, they gave us a common enemy. They made us stronger. And it seems as like today. We are growing weaker and putting the past is in the past. We are at odds with each other over the stupidest things. Race, cops, feminism, etc.

I have opinions on all of those. But in all sincerity. None of that should matter.

But here we are.
