Log In:#119 Nerd Alert!!

So me and my twin were hanging out with our teen group and our youth pastor asked what we talked about last week and when no one answered he's like:

"Give ya a hint. It's an alien species in Halo."

[story behind this: my youth pastor is basically like a big brother to me. I grew up with the guy my entire life. Specifically I grew up playing halo with him and my older *actual* brother. It's kind of crazy. I knew him before he met his girlfriend who is now his wife and now they have three kids... it's insane. I feel old.]

And all of a sudden me and my sister pipe up and say at the same time:

Me: THE COVENANT
Twin: FORERUNNERS

AND HE JUST LAUGHS!

And my best friend sitting across from me looks me dead in the eye and he goes:"Nerddddddd"

And I just smirk at him.

Then my youth pastor is like:"no... guys.. the flood. It's the flood." And he does the biggest face palm ever.

Then even more into it we were talking about how Herod the King went around trying to kill all the Hebrew boys to avoid the prophecy that Christ would come and be born if a Virgin

And idk.. but out of nowhere I look at my friends/other teens and their confused looks and decide this is the best way to put it on the bottom shelf...

So my illustration was this...

It's like in Star Wars. When Anakin turns to the dark side and he walks into the Jedi temple and murders all those force sensitive children.

And I swear other then my twin. Everyone gives me this face that's saying.

"Oh my gosh you are such a nerd"

And legit my best friend looks at me again and goes:

"Nerd Alert! Nerd freaking alert!"

And my youth pastor keeps laughing hysterically

Guys. I have a problem...

Why do I refer to everything irl through fandoms... and tv shows and movies.. and characters...

It's over taken me.. I'm all fangirl...

I'm in too deep...

And I swear... I know all my history through Age of Empires

It's how I ace all my history classes. Because of a game.

Does anyone know that game? Super popular around 2004-2010? It was pc game. A lot like Halo Wars game wise.

Am I seriously the only one who played that game and have such a love for it?

At this point I'm finding it hard to make a line between my fangirl life and my irl 😂😂

Who else is in too deep?
