A silver ring hung on a cheap chain. It looked so lonely around the blonde's neck, which matched how the owner felt.
He lit a cigarette and stared up at the starry sky to calm himself.
"Two years." he whispered, touching the ring around his neck with his left ring finger, which had a matching band. "It'd be...God, I've lost count of the years we had together."
Smoke lazily floated up to the sky, and Sebastian stared at the sky before bitterly chuckling and looking at the ground, shaking his head.
"Two years. Two long years. I think I lost any sanity I had during those endless days." he sighed. He tossed the barely smoked cigarette aside and shut his eyes.
Soon he opened them and stepped back inside, looking around. A knock on the door soon broke him from the memories.
Who would be knocking on his door at this hour? Silently he hoped it was some assasin to finish him off.
Come on, Moran. Stop being so damn morbid.
He opened the door and froze, staring at his husband in shock.
Jim hesitantly smiled, "hey tiger."
"Are...are you real?" he whispered, afraid it was another daydream, afraid he was seeing things. Jim's heart cracked, and he nodded.
"I'm really here, Seb."
Sebastian pulled him into a tight embrace, sobbing a bit on his shoulder. Jim was slightly surprised, hugging him back.
"I thought I lost you," Sebastian's voice cracked, burying his face in Jim's shoulder.
"You're never gonna loose me, tiger."
All the blonde could do was whimper softly, in relief, holding onto his alive husband tightly.
Eventually he released Jim from the slightly bone crushing hug and smiled a little, taking the necklace off with shakey hands and slipping the ring back onto Jim's hand. The shorter smiled slightly, pulling Sebastian into a brief kiss.
