((holy shit, 100 oneshots!))
((I was debating if I should write a fluffy thing or an angsty one...and decided on angst. So, yeah, angst))

Everything seemed to play in slow motion after the phone call. I was running but it felt like I was walking.

It wasn't fair. It never is but still, I'll say it again: it wasn't fair.

I waited to be told that he was alive or dead. My nails pressed hard against my palms, and I think they cut the skin.

Soon, a doctor came out.

"He's stable now."

Thank god.

I almost ran into the room, dismissing the nurses and doctor with a cold look.

"Hey," he said softly, his voice a bit raspy. I sat next to him, feeling like I couldn't breath.

"You're an idiot." was all I could say. He chuckled lightly, rolling his eyes.

"I know, boss." he murmured. I tried to calm down, not wanting to cry in front of him.

"You're a fucking idiot." I repeated, my tone more worried than angry. He raised an eyebrow at that.

"You were worried about me?"

"Yes."

That surprised him.

"Why?"

I stared at him, wishing it was obvious. He stared back, wincing in pain.

"Damnit, Seb. I love you. I need you."

There. Finally said it.

He shook his head, and it was my turn to raise an eyebrow.

"You shouldn't."

"Well, I do."

"Boss. Don't love me, it'll only hurt you."

I sighed, turning away.

"I'll try."

Those words hurt to say. I let a few tears fall before I stood up, wiping them away only to find more.

"Boss...I'm sorry," he sighed, raising his unbroken arm to hold my hand. I squeezed it tight, wishing he felt the ring of excitement when our hands touched.

"Sorry. I should go."

I should stay.

"Boss. Look at me."

I looked at him, my heart aching and singing when I did so.

"Yes?"

"...I love you too."

The world went slow again. I didn't know how to respond or how to act.

"You do?"

"Yes. I just...don't want to hurt you." he mumbled, biting his lip.

"Oh Sebby, you could never hurt me!" I went back to the chair, pressing soft kisses on his hand. He smiled slightly at the action, his thumb gently rubbing my hand.

"I love you." he said again, smiling now. I smiled back.

A/n: Not as angsty as I was gonna make it, but still a bit angsty.
