The trails were held. Fildon was found guilty of treason and plotting with barbarians. Alvonair, the elf you once called your father, was guilty of kidnapping, barbarianism, and abuse. Both ellons were sentenced to death, but you could not see them so cruelly killed. You begged Thranduil to give them an immortal life in prison instead. He agreed, but only because he thought that would be worse than death.

The royal wedding took place only two months after the ball, six weeks after your return to the kingdom and discovering your parentage. Everyday you and Thranduil fell more and more in love with one another, so you were more than ready to say "I do" when the big day came. Arwen and your mother were both bridesmaids while your father walked you proudly down the aisle and the twins were ring bearers. There were hours of partying after the ceremony. You drank and feasted all the pain of your memories away, welcoming this new era with open arms. Thranduil spun his new queen around on the dance floor, rejoiced to finally call you, (y/n) the lost and found princess of Imladris, his.

You and Thranduil decided to travel around the world before returning to royal duties. You journeyed back to Rivendell with your family before setting off, just you and your husband, on an exciting exploration. You saw the the glory of Lothlorien and met your divine grandparents, who bestowed many blessings among you. Thranduil even brought you to the Shire, a place with the weirdest looking little people with curly hair and big feet. They were so welcoming and merry. After leaving Hobbiton, Thranduil told you the dwarves were stupid and loud and only ate meat, so you were fine with skipping on traveling northeast to their settlements. After a good year of adventure, you settled back into Mirkwood.

Not long after, you announced to your husband and the world that you were with child. Thranduil was overjoyed at first, but then he fell into deep anxiety that he wouldn't be a good enough father. You were touched by how much he already cared for the young elf inside of you. You knew he would make a fine parent, even if he couldn't see it in himself.

A few months later, your son was born. Your mother was there to help you push him out while your father soothed Thranduil's worries. Your father-in-law, Oropher, was smiling down on your new family from the heavens as you cradled baby Legolas in you arms, Thranduil at your side. Thranduil was enchanted by the way his son's tiny fingers wrapped around one of his own. You laughed and cried tears of joy at the precious sight.

Legolas grew into a toddler much too fast for your liking. He quickly learned, with the mentoring of his ada, how to shot an arrow and wield a sword. He played with his aunts and uncles during visits from you family. He was Thranduil greatest pride and most treasured creation. He showed Legolas off to anyone and everyone.

When your little leaf would be fast asleep at night, you and Thranduil would often drink glasses of Mirkwood's famous wine under the twinkling light of the stars. It would feel like you were falling in love all over again with that handsome stranger in the gardens.

"Amin mela lle, (y/n)," he told you for the tenth time that day. "To the end of time."

You pressed a loving kiss to his lips. The sparks still flickered between you two like the night you first met.

"I love you, too, melleth nin," you would always say back. You then added thoughtfully, "I think you were the only thing I needed to know who I am. I didn't need parents or a name or a place to be from. I just needed you."

He took you under his arms and pulled you into his chest, kissing the top of your head. "I was just thinking the same thing."
