Shirley and Tate were whispering to one another in the corner of the hallway by the drinking fountain (probably conspiring together again, like always). Wynrie was playing with her piercings. Her habit of nervousness was to play with her septum ring, lip ring, eyebrow ring and open her mouth, flashing her tongue ring off too. She loved her piercings. More than people.

Depressed about most things in life, all of us knew that it was a gateway to inner peace. Inner sanity.

"Rahven, come with me real quick," Tate said. Daemon's gaze pierced through me. I knew not to act suspicious and not to allow Daemon to affect me. Daemon watched as Tate and I walked away from the horrors of the hallway. Wynrie and Shirley both walked out of a classroom at the same time.  They walked in the sane direction.

Shirley cut Wynrie off and snobily said" You will never have him.  Never have Daemon. You know why? Cause you're hopeless. A worthless,  frightened girl.  So worthless.  You're nothing.  Just trash.  I HATE the fact that he craves something so pathetic. So useless.  Ugly.  If you try to take him,  you'll be sorry.  You will know true pain. "

Daemon could feel Wynrie's emotions in the moment at whatever Shirley had been spotting at her.  He felt enraged yet saddened. He wanted to help such a pretty soul so much.  So very much.  He knew he should stop it too.  He needed to end Shirley's terror once and for all when it came to Wynrie.

He walked over to where they were standing and bluntly said," Shirley stop being such a cunty bitch.  Leave Wynrie alone.  Now.  I will never go for you.  You aren't my type. I despise you and your kind of vicious, animalistic, pig scum.  You need to back off her and from me.  This has come way to far.  Stop.  Seriously." Shirley was so shocked she had no words.  She was furious yet pleased.  She wanted him to notice her efforts for so long now and he finally had,  but he said some hurtful things he shouldn't have (perhaps).

She wanted to cry somewhat at his crude words.  Wynrie had no sympathy whatsoever for Shirley.  She sided with Daemon. She had to. It was the truth. Full blown truth.
