Part 14: Disturbing Mist

This was very disturbing. The mist around me was disturbing and I had no idea how to get out of the crashed car. I grabbed my phone after Ryder had hing up and dialed Daemon. When he answered, I mumbled," Car on the road. No attempt to stop. Crashed. Head hurts really bad. Need help, Dae". I knew if anyone could make out what I was saying, it was Daemon.

He was the one person I knew who could decifer any fucked up sentence and put the pieces together to make sense of things. "Okay, just stay put. No moving. I'll find you and get you out of there soon. I swear it, Rhave", he replied. I hung up the phone and hoped he would be here soon because if he didn't, I would probably die. Alone. It was in an instant that Daemon was at the car and ripping off the door. I was in such a daze afterwards that I wasn't sure of what happened next.

I awoke in the Embers house and I appeared to be in an unfamiliar room of the house. I could also hear distant voices and only one I could make out. Daemon's. Whoever he was talking to they were arguing about something. I groaned aloud and that's when I saw him. Ryder. Daemon wasn't far behind him either. "Hey. How you feeling", Ryder asked. "You should leave my house, wolf boy. She doesn't want you here. Frankly, neither do I or my brother I can assure you", Daemon shot at Ryder.

Annoyed with Daemon's comments, Ryder said,"She is the mother of my twin children. I have a right to know how she's doing, vampire freak." "Will you two shut the fuck up! My head feels like a fucking truck ran over it and I just got banged up slightly in an accident that was the other driver's complete fault", I shot at the both of them. They both stopped talking and I continued on. "Furthermore, I don't wish to see you you fucking asshole. I heard everything you did with her." Ryder looked down towards the floor in shame.

"I didn't mean to call you. I didn't know until after..", he started saying before I cut him off by saying,"After you finished fucking her and coming inside of her pussy? Yeah, I heard everything." His face grew more red by the moment while Daemon's anger had only gotten more heated as he learned what had gone on. "See!? She doesn't want you here, wolfie", Daemon said. "All I want is for her to know she can call me if she needs me for anything. Especially if it comes to my kids, bloodsucker", Ryder shot back.

I started to get up when Daemon flashed to my side and prevented me from moving any further. "You need to leave or else my brother will become very aggravated when he gets back", Daemon said. Ryder walked out of the house and Daemon left my side to peer out of the window, making sure Ryder left. "Those pillows helped keep your babies from any danger, so that's good. But I'm sure you've got a concussion or serious brain damage because of the accident", Daemon said.

"Yeah I'm sure I have one or the other, but it wasn't about my state in that moment. It was theirs. So I'm fine" I replied. I could tell he wasn't exactly happy with my way of thinking but then again, he could just suck on dogs balls for all I cared. His opinion didn't have any meaning to me. Not in the slightest. Nor did anyone elses. "I'm just glad that that asshole left and I hopefully won't see him or much of him anymore", I said. A chuckle came out of Daemon's mouth and I knew he felt the same way.

"Yeah, I'm just glad he left before Tate showed. He wouldn't hesitate to skin the fucker and hang him from a meat hook for being here. Not to mention, him being near you", he replied. I knew he was right about that. Tate would blow shit if he caught him here. Especially in the mood he was in when I left him at the hospital. Besides, Tate was hugely into torture so he would hang him from a meat hook and torture him until he decided the time was right to skin him alive.

It was what fascinated me about him the most. Well, that and his caring side, when he wanted to show it. The front door slammed shit almost as quickly as it had been thrown open and I knew it meant Tate was back. "I hope you realize that wolf boy isn't going to change. Hi pattern with lying and fucking other girls will never cease. I just hope you won't settle for shit, even for those little ones", Daemon said before he left the room and wen to greet his brother downstairs.

I found that I couldn't get any sleep and I knew it was pointless to continue to try to get any. I also knew I couldn't exactly move by myself so this was going to be.. Interesting for sure. I began to move just fine on my own and it wasn't until I came to the stair that I felt incredibly dizzy. I stumbled at the top of the stairs and the next thing I knew, Tate and Daemon had both come rushing to my side, still arguing.

"See! You should have stopped being so careless and brought her downstairs in the first place. It's much safer than up here where she could fall and the babies could die", Tate shouted at Daemon. "It's not my fault! I figured if she needed anything, she'd yell for one of us to come. I didn't figure she'd try to move on her own. Not after that wreck I pulled her out of. The good thing is those pillows were there and aided those little ones", Daemon shouted back.

My head continued to spin and darkness was taking over me. The next thing I knew, my body went limp in their arms and they were moving me downstairs. I woke up on the couch they had in their living room. A very large, red velvet couch. The softness of it brushed my skin and the feel soothed my body. My phone rang and I knew it was only one person. Ryder.
