Death's end

Death's end was when someone had finally crossed over instead of continuing to be stick in the in between. It was time for us to go home and the Embers brothers were helpful enough to get them in the car seats and let me get a small break in. At least til we got to the house.

I sat in the back with my kids and let Daemon sit in the passenger seat. I fell asleep on the way back and so did the twins. It felt good to have my kids with me and my two closest friends too. I could sense Ryder burning my place down so I knew the only thing I could do, live with the Embers brothers. I woke up and we were still on the way back to their house and I fell into tears, silently. I knew Tate was taking notice but he wasn't going to make a scene out of it.

The tears ran down my cheeks and I just had to  silently tell myself that this was for the best. For the three of us. I knew Tate understood where I was coming from here. I also knew that he knew Ryder was going to try to come back once again. We got to the house after what felt forever. I got the twins inside by myself and we went to the spare room in the house and got settled in.

I noticed that everything I needed was already in the room and I was a little concerned about how. I saw a note that read,"This should be everything you need but if not, contact me"-Ryder. I was speechless. However, I knew he was just trying to buy his way back in. Trying to yet again, buy me. I heard footsteps approach the room and grabbed the closest thing to a weapon I could find, a razor blade.

A subtle knock touched the door and Daemon's voice came not long after it. "Let us know if you need anything. We can always give you a break if you need it. I promise, we aren't total monsters," he said. I chuckled softly and he was leaving when I opened the door and replied,"I could use some help. I need to get the room together and if you guys wouldn't mind caring for them.." He nodded at me. He carried Sabin and Wynrie to a different room and I began to work on the room.

I heard a shuffle of footsteps behind me and when I turned around I was instantly thrown against the wall, pinned to it while my neck was being choked from behind and my hair pulled. "You REALLY thought that you were just going to move in with your ex and I wouldn't know?! You better not be fucking him! I WILL kill you. You worthless excuse for a woman. You will NEVER be rid of me! And I swear on those kids' lives, if you do anything I dislike, you'll regret it. Every. Second. Of. It.

I come over to see how you like my gift and I overhear you telling that monster to take MY kids!? You have NO idea what that does to me. And if I catch you sleeping with the other monster.. I wouldn't want to be you. Let's just say that," Ryder said. He punched me and broke my nose and he gave my a black eye, left a mark on my neck from choking me so hard and split my lip before he left.

I fell to the floor and silently cried my eyes out. I bit through the pain of the black eye as tears fell at a vigorous pace. I covered my mouth with my hands to muffle ANY sound. And prayed nobody heard anything whatsoever. I tried to get back to the room as best as I could and get everything how I wanted it. Once the room was done, I heard another set of footsteps behind me and I jumped this time. Tate was here now.

When I turned to face him, he stopped smiling and became enraged. Every touch he made to the wounds stung and made me whimper a little. It made him get furious by the minute. "When did he come in here," Tate said, through clenched teeth. "He overheard me and Daemon talking about my fixing the room up and you guys watching the twins. After I started working on the room.." I replied but couldn't finish the words.

He sighed aloud and came and hugged me and I collapsed into his chest crying. "You know I have to tell Daemon about this so we can protect you and your family from his lunatic ass, right," Tate asked. I nodded and he knew I really didn't want them involved in anything else than they already were. My phone went off and I knew who it was before I even answered it. Ryder. "You know that I love you so quit these games, Rhave," Ryder said before he hung up.
