"I can't believe you!" Alex yelled, frustration obvious in his voice.

"What the hell did I do? I didn't make him pick me." Mia crossed her arms.

The two of them were walking in the halls. Alex was visibly stomping in an agitated way, while Mia was just trying to keep up with him, not amused by his emotional outburst. It wasn't her fault, she didn't even try to be noticed.

"You didn't even try! You didn't even freaking try! You always do this!" He yelled, his light yellow eyes looking glassy.

Shit. She felt a bit bad. She knew she couldn't do anything about it, but seeing him get so emotional over this made her feel bad. She had to find a way to fix this, and a way just popped into her mind with ease.

"I work so hard, just for you to be picked out, even though you hate this school! It isn't freaking fair!" Alex continued yelling

"I'll fix it. You'll see." Mia picked up the phone from her pocket, pulling out another the paper he gave to her.

"M-Mia! What are you doing!?" He got visibly nervous by her plan, stepping closer to her.

"You'll see." She repeated her sentence, pressing the call button as she put it on her head.

"Hey! Stop! Mia, don't do something stupid!" He tried to get the phone out of her hand, but she just kept squirming away.

He tried to corner her, but she just slammed her palm on his face, to which he couldn't even move or react, getting annoyed by her acting. He still tried moving, although he noticed Adrien picked up. He stopped moving, curious about what she even wanted to do, no matter how much he thought it was probably dumb and reckless.

"Hello?" His condescending voice made Mia roll her eyes.

He can't even pick up the phone without sounding like he wants to prove he's so much smarter than everyone else?

"Hi, it's Mia." She said, removing her palm from Alex's face, noticing he wasn't fighting it anymore.

"I'm glad you called so quickly. I wanted us to me-" She cut him off.

"Let's make a deal buddy." Mia said firmly.

"A deal? I'm giving you an opportunity to do something with yourself, don-" She cut him off again, obviously not having much respect for him.

"I don't wanna be your apprentice. I don't care about this shit. You have a much better, more motivated student." She stated, looking at the surprised looking Alex.

"No, Mia, that isn't fair either, you don't have to!" Alex made his mind up immediately, his tone of voice squeaky and nervous.

"Miss Amyot, I said I wanted you. I don't care about other students." Adrien stated coldly.

"You can kiss me goodbye then, I'm not interested anyway." Mia stated, not really caring anyway.

"No, Mia, this is a chance for you to do something! Don't sabotage it! You have potential!" Alex exclaimed.

Mia was amused by his sudden change of opinion the moment something had to happen. She knew his jealous and annoyed feelings would pass fast. But now it passed even faster, proving he really did care about her but was just overly emotional.

"... I'm willing to take both of you as apprentices." Adrien said after a long silence.

While it wasn't quite what she was hoping for, she was satisfied with the conclusion of the talk. Even though she didn't feel like being an apprentice, she'll do it for Alex. He tried so hard to make her have a point and goal in life, to no avail. She was a hopeless case, but Alex wasn't. She could at least try to make his wishes come true. She'll just be a bad apprentice and try to get fired as soon as she could. It wasn't that hard anyway.

"It's a deal." Mia agreed, grinning.

Adrien sighed deeply into the phone, obviously unsatisfied he had to change his plans. He didn't want this, but it made her glad she ruined his plans.

"If you two could come after school tomorrow? I need to organize it with the both of you." Adrien asked her.

"Yup, we're both free." Mia stated, grinning at the goofy smiling Alex next to her.

"Just tell me the name of the... New apprentice." She could literally hear the defeat in Adrien's voice.

"Alex Carvallo." She stated, adoring Adrien's voice sounding like something other than condescending or disappointed.

"Fine. I'll see you tomorrow. Both of you." It pained him to say it.

"Byeee!" And that was when he hung up.

"Mia, you are amazing! Thank you so much!" Alex yelled, hugging her tightly.

She laughed slightly, hugging back while patting him on the back. She was glad she managed to make this right, even if it wasn't really her fault in the first place. If there was anything she thought she was good at, it was problem solving.

"It wasn't a problem, Al. It's the least I could do for you." She smiled, winking to her friend.

"Ah, I'm not really a good friend. I just nag and complain. I literally forced you in this school." He had an apologetic tone, suddenly feeling so very guilty about everything he ever did.

"Shut up." She punched his hand playfully, even though he winced a bit.

"You're a good friend. You tried to make me do something with myself and actually find interest in something. It didn't quite work, but hey, at least you tried." Mia told him, a teasing tone present.

"It will work. I just haven't found what you really are interested in." Alex said optimistically.

"Ahahaha, I don't think you ever will find it." She said it in a joking way.

Although, she knew it was true. She never was going to find something that will make her truly happy, without getting her bored after a short while. It was quite dull and empty, but she couldn't tell Alex that. It would break his small heart. And if there was someone who didn't deserve it, it was him.
