"What do you mean you can't do anything!?" Alex yelled out, looking at Adrien in panic.

"You're Adrien Marais, you have the power!" Alex continued, looking heartbroken that even his man crush couldn't do something.

"Alex, calm down." Unako put a hand on his chest, making him calm down a bit.

"Believe it or not, there are people even more powerful than Adrien Marais, Alex." Adrien sighed, somehow feeling bad for letting the boy down.

"But you have to make something up! We can help you, I believe in you! We believe in you!" Alex continued to be persistent, making Adrien roll his eyes and stand up.

"Don't idolize me, Alex. You're making it harder for the both of us." The red haired male crossed his arms with an unsatisfied face.

He wasn't satisfied with this either. He wanted to do something about this, to take the initiative and fix this. But he couldn't. It wasn't his place, he was told that and he knew it was true. The Judgers should be the ones that take care of this, and he couldn't change the mind of A Judger. He felt stupid and weak, out of control. But if there was one thing he learned during this time period is not to be prideful. He didn't want to overestimate his skills.

"We could try to find out some stuff for you, Adrien." Unako offered, keeping calm, but also getting very excited about this situation.

Adrien gave of a smirk and rolled his eyes.

"That's really sweet, kids. But we don't have anything to do with this situation." Adrien really wanted to switch the topic already, the more he thought about this, the more he actually wanted to meddle.

But losing his job wasn't something he was quite up for. He barely kept it once, no way was he gonna lose it.

"But, Adrien, why is breaking out such a bad idea?" The curious girl asked, not really getting how it could be so bad.

"Please, don't think about things you can't have." Alex told her in a somewhat desperate tone, thinking about no one else than Mia.

"But why wouldn't we return if we could?" She continued to pester, remembering all of her past memories.

Alex wanted to tell her something, but Adrien was faster.

"It's a bad idea, dear." Adrien told her sharply.

"That's not good enough of a reason. I just want to understand." Unako tried to reason.

"There's a reason the dead are separated from the living. We have an order in this universe that shouldn't be broken." Adrien told her, sounding like he was losing his temper slowly.

"But they do it. Those games Alex told me about, they send people back." She tried to explain, finding herself to be intrigued by the rebellion.

"I'm against that stupidity in the first place. They never let them come to Hell, just in that weird place that's in-between life and death. And even that disrupts the brain's functioning. They have weird supernatural powers, predict futures... They just come off as a crazy person." He told her, looking like he didn't like talking about this topic.

Alex and Unako kept quiet. The way he talked about the topic was different than usual. He was usually very phlegmatic, but this was something he looked like he didn't know how to talk about. Like he had problems choosing his words.

"You believe in those theories?" Unako asked, getting intrigued.

"I do. I've... Ah, nevermind." He grumbled, looking at the floor with a serious gaze.

They've never seen Adrien look so deep in thought. But the odd thing was, he didn't look like he enjoyed being deep in thought.

"But that doesn't mean anything terrible. We could continue living our lives-" and she got interrupted by Adrien's harsh, but never raised voice.

"No, we couldn't. The time period would be unsure. Our bodies aren't used to Earth anymore. Even if we come back as humans, who knows where our bodies are. There's endless things that could go wrong in your ideal little idea." He stopped for a pause, he got so worked up he got worried he'd raise his voice.

"We're dead. Earth is alive. The dead should never be mixed with the living." He finished with a harsh tone, which made even Unako quiet.

... But not for long.

"But if you think it's a bad idea, shouldn't we warn-" His deep voice cut her off once more, this time making her scared.

"I don't think. I know. I can sense it. I tried warning them. If they don't listen, it's their own responsibility to what happens to them. Now, end of discussion." He told them once and for all, feeling satisfied both of them were left without a word.

He could finally have some peace now. He didn't want to explain this to them. It's personal. They don't need to know. No one needs to know.

"You kids should go home." He told them, not so subtly, wanting them to leave.

The two of them went away, Alex not noticing the obvious hint until Unako started leaving. Both of them were quiet while they walked, feeling like Adrien's harshness still followed them.

"I have an idea." Unako finally spoke up.

"An idea?" The dark blue haired boy looked at her in wonder.

"We can find some things out by ourselves." She grinned a toothy grin, her pink eyes shining.

"But Mr. Marais told us not to!" Was Alex's first reaction to yell out.

"Screw Mr. Marais!" She imitated the way whiny way Alex always said his title.

"But..."

"No buts. We can do some things by ourselves, can't we?" She questioned him.

"I mean, I guess..." He started to get confused.

"So you're with me." Unako concluded.

"I never said that..."

"But you are." She grinned.

"I'm not..." He smiled in an unsure way.

"So you are." Her grin widened.

"I am." He started to laugh a bit because of her wide grin, making her feel very satisfied.
