"I don't want to go." Eleonore grumbled angrily for the tenth time as Adrien was shooing her out of his mansion.

"You have to, Eleonore." Adrien continued.

"You used to call me Elle." She answered.

He grunted. She was being so complicated.

"Things aren't the way they used to be. You have to go." Adrien continued, Alex said words of agreement every so often as he did usually.

"I don't want to be without you again, I don't want to feel alone." She said it in an oddly demanding tone.

Adrien didn't seem like he was much up to this stuff. He hated how he was acting towards her, but he forgot how a husband was supposed to act after so many years, nor did he feel like acting like one. He did know it was mandatory to protect her, but staying with him wasn't protective.

"Was this your girlfriend or something?" Alex questioned, just to know what he was getting himself into.

"She was my wife." Adrien just wanted to kick them out and slam the door shut.

The way he said that in such an annoyed tone offended not only Eleonore, but Alex too. He only dreamed of his past to return, yet Adrien just threw it away like it was nothing. It just came off as ungrateful.

"I still am, Adrien." She stabbed right back.

"More than a hundred years passed, Eleonore, things have changed more than you know." He answered, not looking at her.

"Why did you hug me then?" Eleonore argued back, actually feeling deeply hurt that he was rejecting her after finding her again.

"It was a mishap with my emotions. I'll get them in line." He answered, noticing just how guilty he felt that he showed her warmth when he knew he wasn't ready for this.

"I'm not your business partner, Adrien. You know me for twenty years." She answered, feeling like it was much.

Adrien noticed something odd. She didn't remember anything from Hell? He kept quiet. It's better if she didn't know. But he still wanted her safe. He forgot how to be normal, he didn't want her here. Although, something deep inside him longed for affection. To remember how it was to trust and love someone unconditionally. He grew cold, she deserved better.

"I don't know how to handle such things currently. You won't be alone. You'll have Alex. He's a charming young man, I swear he'll make you feel right at home." Adrien explained to her, but it's like she was too stubborn to listen.

Alex, who was feeling terribly uncomfortable this whole time, got even more uncomfortable at the mention of his name. Maybe it was better if he didn't even suggest the idea of her goinf to his place, there wouldn't be arguments now. He disliked other people arguing in front of them.

"I won't leave, Adrien." She continued.

"Why do you have to be such a mule?" He raised his voice a bit, which made Alex to become startled, but not Eleonore.

"I'm not. I just know I always win in these types of things." Eleonore answered, giving a sharp gaze with her purple eyes towards Adrien that seemed to be getting more and more furious by the moment.

"You won't make an idiot out of me." He lowered his voice.

"I'm not. I just want you to show emotion. You'd show it if you cared." She told him, of course there was a subtone of teasing in her voice, which got Adrien much more annoyed than intended.

"I wouldn't try and protect you if I didn't care, you idiot! You're not safe here, get it through your thick skull already!" He yelled out, getting red in the face, as if he let out all of his compressed anger he felt through thousands of years.

And even after thousands of years, he still felt like he was compressing his anger, yet he acted like he showed too much. Eleonore hated how reserved he was. She wanted him to open up, even getting him angry was better than his cold demanour. She knew he was cold by nature, but never ever to her.

"I don't want to leave and I'm not going to." She repeated stubbornly.

"Hey, uh, I think it's smarter if we leave, the sooner the better..." Alex said passively but he was ignored as always.

He clenched his fists and turned around, breathing in deeply. This was so retarded, he hated it. He didn't want to be emotional, yet she just had to do it. It felt horrible and unnatural, he just wanted everything to be done properly and safely for her.

"What do you want me to say or do for you to just go?" He questioned, seeing that being stubborn wasn't going to help any of them.

"Nothing. I won't go." She concluded.

He got angry again. He was ready to burst his inner anger, but he remembered something.

"I'll come after a week. I'll visit as often as I can, and you can move back with me after a month or so. This is just temporary." He offered, but she still seemed unamused.

Before she could open her mouth, Adrien cut her off, knowing she had nothing new to say.

"If you cared, dear, you'd try to keep yourself safe. How else are you going to be a part of my life?" He said these words naturally, but it was hard to start.

It was hard to start, but he let his feelings slip out a bit. Once he said that, she looked oddly satisfied. Her grin was wide and she punched him lightly.

"Was that so hard?" She laughed a bit.

He smiled slightly yet genuinely, trying to hide it in an awkward manner.

"It was. Now go away please." He said the last part in a bit of a whimper.

"Don't care. You'll work on that with me in a week, right?" She turned around and she started putting on his huge coat so she could mask herself.

"Ah, yeah, of course. It seems like I lost touch with some things." He confessed in an embarrassed manner.

"I told you I win in these things." She let out one last laugh.

"I told you that you always proved me wrong." He grinned back, looking at the door closing.

The last thing he heard was Alex's loud and entusiastic goodbyes, as if he was happy Adrien let his past in. Although, it really wasn't even that close as simple.
