Half Accident

Watching movies was not as easy as it was planned out to be. Sitting down, eating popcorn and watching the TV as the plot progresses. Sounds simple, right? Not when you have Mia on your team. A very bored Mia.

"This is such a stupid movie." Mia stated as she groaned.

"That's like the twentieth time you said that." Alex who sat next to her complained as he watched the movie, quite liking it actually.

"It doesn't make sense. Like they fall in love within a day-" Mia was interrupted.

"I like it." The girl smiled, obviously having a soft side for romantic movies.

Both Alex and her were gushy and fawned over the cutest of scenes. Mia rolled her eyes most of the time and shook her leg. Adrien looked half dead from all of these movies, shaking his leg along with Mia, looking around the room, specifically the clock. Like he had enough of this too, but he was willing to stay quiet in order of the project.

"That was such a stupid fight." Mia commented again.

Alex sighed from annoyance. She really couldn't keep her mouth shut once in a while.

"Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean you should ruin it for everyone else." Alex scolded once more.

She rolled her eyes and sighed as well. She wanted to go away already. She stood up, wanting to stretch her legs.

"Where are you going?" Alex asked, literally always needing to know where she was going, no matter how much it was obvious she got pissed off when he pushed his nose into her business.

"To the bathroom." She answered and continued going by the cables, which everyone knew was a bad idea.

And it turned out to be what they thought. Her leg got caught on the cable, the most important one. Her leg pulled it, not noticing. The cable pulled down the TV with all the force Mia put in her leg to get untangled. It fell down and the screen smashed. She started at the stupidity and let out a snicker.

"Whoops." She grinned, amused by this oddly.

Everyone in the room gave her pissed off faces, including the nameless girl. She got offensive, not getting why they looked so pissed off. It was just an accident... Kind of. She just wanted Adrien to kick her out already, in the hopes that he'll see just how bad of a person she was compared to Alex. But instead of him, Alex attacked.

"You did that on purpose! You're taking this too far!" Alex stood up, going close to his best friend.

"It was an accident, Al. Calm down, jeez." She grumbled dismissively.

Before he was about to yell, Adrien put a hand on his shoulder. Alex looked up at the much taller and older man as he kept quiet, wondering what he'll say. He had a bad feeling. Adrien's face was blank, but there was slight hints of annoyance.

"It doesn't matter if this was on purpose or not. You're trying to get kicked out of this group since the moment you got bored, Miss Amyot." Adrien told her, his voice cold.

She got surprised, her dark red eyes widening. She didn't want her motives being pointed out so clearly. It made her feel angry and annoyed... But most importantly, exposed

"If you know that, why don't you just kick me out already?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Be aggressive, it'll protect you, she told herself. Cross your arms, it'll protect the body. You're a complex mess, he can't see it because you won't let him.

"Why don't you give up? Too much pride you'll let go?" He questioned, all seriousness in his voice.

Alex kept quiet, getting surprised. He never seen him like this.

"You have no right to talk to me about pride, not you Adrien." She retorted, her voice getting louder and louder.

"You're messing up everyone's business by being selfish. You don't need me to prove that you're selfish and if you want to get away from people, I won't be the one to sabotage you." He told her, knowing exactly what she wanted all along.

If he made her go away, she would barely talk to Alex. He'd think lowly of her and her low discipline. It was all part of the plan. She just wanted to get away from any type of relationship, but it was too painful to do it on her own. Adrien was ruining it. She couldn't even talk from being peeled like that.

"Find interest in something, Miss Amyot. You're just wasting your existence by moping. This girl has a second chance at life that you're ruining." His voice was so cold that she shivered.

"I never wanted to be here!" Mia yelled out, her voice cracking as her eyes filled with tears.

"I know you didn't. I was just trying to make you use your potential. You'll regret doing nothing with yourself later on. This is your second chance to fill out everything you had in your past. Your second chance in life-" She cut him off with a very loud yell.

"I never wanted a second chance in life!" she screamed loudly, her tears falling out.

Her voice was shaky as she wiped her tears away quickly, just to get angry at another round falling out. She had enough. Everyone was quiet after her outburst, she couldn't help but feel embarrassed and exposed. She wanted to run away, somewhere, anywhere. As far away from Adrien as possible. As far away from Alex.

"Miss Amyot, it's tragic, but I don't want you pulling down someone who's actually trying to work. I obviously can't help you with your personal issues." He told her, his neon red eyes peering down at her.

"I never asked you to fucking help me! I fucking quit!" Mia screamed out, pushing Adrien violently from her path.

He just let her push him, not reacting much, but it was obvious he was feeling uncomfortable as well.

"Mia-" He touched her shoulder, to which she just pushed him away even harder than Adrien, making him fall and hit the ground.

He looked at her wide eyed, his body aching from the push. She looked at him with regret, but she looked away quickly, gritting her teeth. She walked, well, stomped out of the house, slamming the door shut. After that, there was an uncomfortable silence. Alex looked at the door, where she previously stood.

How did he let this happen?
