In a fast pace, Adrien and the female Judger managed to come to his mansion, unnoticed. She was wearing his fancy black coat which was way too long for her and put on a black hat he had with him. She looked oddly cutesy and she could barely walk because of the length of the coat. It was hard to keep up because Adrien had quite the quick steps.
As she went inside, she got an odd feeling like she already knew where she was. She took off her coat and put it on the coathanger... Which was near the steps. She got surprised at herself. She knew this place and where everything was.
Adrien watched her slowly. She felt his gaze. She looked at him weirdly. He just shook his head in a dissmissive nature.
"Mr. Marais, what's happening?" She didn't know how else to question anything that happened.
"Call me Adrien, dear, I like that more." He stated bluntly, but somehow he felt bad after doing it.
She looked up at him. She always felt lime she knew him from somewhere. Saving him from that fire just made her feel so much emotions. Like she knew this happened already. She felt connected to him in an odd way. She always wanted to be around him and learn about him.
But she knew she shouldn't do it. She was a Judger. She shouldn't have any types of feelings or interests. Then why did this happen? Who was she? How did she regain some sort of conciousness through the time she spent here. She never cared, but she did now. She felt like she had a personality, interests, will and dreams. But she was just too empty and confused to do anything.
What was she going to do now?
Something bad could happen. They know she's missing. They're looking for her. She knows they plan to destroy her. She was just a reject of what she was supposed to be and that sort of rejects should be eliminated.
"I'm sorry, I was getting too personal with you." He apologized, looking very awkward as he did it.
She sat on the couch, looking at him in bewilderment.
"You can't really be formal when I'm in your... Mansion." She wanted to say apartment, but it really was far from it.
"I'll just cut to business." He said seriously, but oddly enough she got a feeling he said it to protect himself from something unwanted.
"You do know how Judgers are made, don't you?" Adrien questioned.
She gulped. The students, during their schooling for becoming a Judger, would slowly get their emotions wiped out. It was a slow process that was masked as a machine that checked up their mental power. In two years of schooling they'd be exposed to it at least 356 times. After some time, the colors of their hair fades and they go into special apartments, never to be seen by their loved ones again. They tried their damnest to make them look similar, so when they became immune to the machine, no one will ever notice one of them missing. All of them looked the same anyway.
She looked at the floor in fear. She knew she'd get hurt somehow, but she never acknowledged that it could bother her. She only took account her feelings a few months ago, when she started to change. She didn't know how to stop herself, she tried blending in, but it was hard and everyone grew suspicious very fast. She suspected she'd end up missing in a month. What terrified her the most was that she couldn't find an answer to solve this. She felt like she was just awaiting death. Until this man came...
"You were made similarly. I see you're starting to slip. In a few days you'd go missing." He told her, sitting next to her, looking at her intently with his neon red eyes.
"What am I going to do?" She asked him as if Adrien was her only hope.
"Wait for you to change back and regain your memories. You can't go anywhere looking like this." Adrien reffered to her colored roots and slowly coloring eyes.
"Where will I go? What if they find me?" She had so many questions, only now was she realizing that she actually felt more than she thought she did.
He looked at her with unease and kept averting his gaze from her. She couldn't understand why and she was too busy panicking to ask.
"I'll keep you here until you recover from this state." He stated seriously, but he still looked very uncomofrtable.
She looked up at him with a teary eyed gaze, a hopeful look in her purple toned eyes. He gulped.
"Stop looking at me like that." He grumbled, averting his gaze again.
"Like what?" She questioned, getting a hint of confusion in her eyes.
"Like you're..." He stopped himself mid sentence, deciding it was stupid.
"Just like that. It's making me uncomfortable." Adrien stumbled a bit, looking like he was very annoyed all of a sudden.
She'd usually get annoyed by him acting stupid, but she was just too happy to think properly. Somehow, she felt like this was a new start for her. She felt herself cry after who knows how long. She felt like she finally was someone and the sudden burst of emotion felt so satisfying. Something was filling up the emptiness she once felt, or better said, thought.
"Thank you so much!" She let out, sobbing a bit.
Her eyes were getting blurry and her breath was gasping. This was so unusal. She felt the hot tears on her face and look at her slightly wet fingers. She felt immense emotions, emotions she couldn't even describe, all thanks to the man she first thought of as a jerk.
"Ah, don't cry, I mean-" Adrien was very nervous as he tried to somewhat make her calm her down.
"I'll be the main suspect, so, I don't know how safe this is, but, just, stop doing this!" He looked hesitant and scared to touch her, but she smiled very brightly through tears, which made him even more scared.
"I'm fine, you don't have to comfort me. This is something so new and wonderful. I feel like I can do anything." And with that she let out an air of childlike energy.
He didn't know why, but he thought that was a main indicator he did something wrong. But knowing who she was... He couldn't leave her behind. He wasn't crazy and he didn't forget her. Only she could make him feel this way. It didn't take long to remember her. But now he really did understand just how cold and awkward he'd gotten.
Even though he felt like he did the wrong choice, did he regret saving her?
Not one bit.
