I was running late for class and my car wouldn't start, again. Nina was not available because she has an early cheerleading practice, so I didn't have any other choice but to drive myself to school, I started the engine and it gladly roared on the 3rd try that I happily shouted hooray like an idiot. But just when I thought the car was okay, it suddenly decided to break down.
I tried calling Nina for the fifth time, but she still wasn't picking up, she might still be doing practice and I thought of dad but he was too busy already that I couldn't ask. Biting my inner cheek, I tap my phone on the palm of my hand thinking of any other person to call, a thought of Sebastian swished over me but I could have a much higher chance of getting a ride by waiting here than for him to agree to come pick me up.
Just when I finally decided to walk was when I heard a car approaching. I looked at the car hoping it was a nice person that could give me a ride but just when I thought I was saved, I immediately took my word back and hoped the person would just pass by, but No.
Mr. Allen's car pulled over on the side and he came hopping out the car and walked towards me. I suddenly became nervous; he has that effect on me.
"Are you alright?" He asks out of concern.
"Yes, it's just that my car broke down." I pointed the old beat up beetle.
"Did you already call the tow service?"
"I don't have their number." I shyly said. He then took his phone from his pocket and started calling a number.
"Vic, it's Greg. There's a car here at the highway just a mile away from the barn, could you come pick it up for repair? ....... Oh, great thanks. "after the phone call he put the phone back to his pocket. "They'll just come and pick up your car." He said to me.
"Thanks." I couldn't even look him in the eye.
"You can get your bag; I'll just give you a ride to school. It's not like we're going to different destinations." He smiles.
"Right." I simply nodded. Grabbed my bag and He asher me to his car, he was a total gentleman opening the door for me. The ride to school was mostly him talking about his pet cat and I didn't mind at all.
"See you in class." He bid his goodbye just as we have gone our separate ways upon arriving. I could feel glares putting holes all over my body. We all know that Mr. Allen's the hot teacher and him being seen with me, especially arriving together to school was like a huge deal when it comes to other girls. I did my best to ignore them, for I did not do anything wrong.
"Hey!" Nina still wearing her cheerleading uniform. "Sorry, I couldn't answer your call earlier. I was at practice."
"It's fine, my car just broke down in the middle of the road." I told her.
"Gosh, are you hurt?" She asks searching for scrapes or traces of me getting hurt.
"It just stopped and nothing major happened." Stopping her from soon pulling my shirt up to check on my back.
"Are you sure of that?" She asks again.
"Yes, I'm fine." I nodded.
"How did you catch a ride?" I didn't want to tell her about it but sooner or later she'll find out, so why not tell her now?
"Mr. Allen saw me and help me get to school." I answered.
"The hot teacher?" I nodded. "Shit! I would like to get my car broke down too so I can ride him, I mean with him." She jokes.
"Yeah, yeah. But I wouldn't want to do that." I said.
"Why? It's just a ride to school not a ride to marriage."
