"Abby! Your boyfriend's here." Dad yelled as I finish brushing my hair. I took a quick last glance on my appearance before I went downstairs. Nina will not be giving me a ride to school today, she said she has an appointment with someone which she didn't mention who. So, I had an excuse to come to school with Sebastian.
"You look quite pretty today." Dad kissing the top of my head.
"She always looks pretty." Sebastian said as he stands waiting by the door.
"Was that a real compliment or are you just acting up in front of dad?" I walk over to where Sebastian was standing and gave him a quick hug. "Good Morning."
"What if I'd rate it to 50%? You'd you be mad?" He chuckles.
"Well, maybe." I shrug my shoulder.
"Okay, lovebirds." Dad pushing both of us out the door. "You'll both be late for class. Head straight to school, no reroute." He warns pointing a finger at Sebastian.
"Certainly." He nodded. He gestured me to go ahead. "Bye Mr. Clarke." He waves my dad goodbye.
"Where's the bike?" I ask him as I point at the car parked.
"I thought first time picking you up with the motorcycle from your house, with your Dad being there seems inappropriate." Opening the car door for me.
"Considerate, that's one good trait added." I looked at him impressed.
"Hey, I have a lot more hiding under my sleeve." He says with a proud tone.
"Okay, okay." I nodded. He closes my side of the door and walk over to the driver seat. He smiles towards me as he roared the engine. I press the on button on the radio.
"Let's hear out a song from our girl Vanessa Carlton." The DJ announces and the song A Thousand Miles plays.
"What?!" He exclaims with a huge grin on his lips. I look towards him with a what-the-heck-is-wrong-with-you look. "How'd you know? It's my favorite." He gasps, tapping the at the wheel at the beat. He was giving reference to that scene in the movie White Chicks. He started to sing along to the music, and I started to laugh so hard, it wasn't because of his song choice but it was because of his terrible singing.
"Oh my god! I didn't know you're such a bad singer." Grasping my now hurting stomach from so much laughing.
"No, I'm not. I'm even much better singer than Bruno Mars." He says as he bops his head still singing.
"No, you're definitely not." I said shaking my head and he began singing louder. "Sebastian, no." He continues. "Why don't you try to put the windows down so everyone can hear." I tease.
"That's a great idea." He smiles and rolls the windows down.
"No! I was just joking." I said stopping him.
"Too late Babe." He blasted the music higher and sang even louder. "Come on, sing with me."
"You're crazy." I commented but then sang along with him. We we're doing a carpool till we got to school.
He had just killed the engine. He looks at me with longing eyes.
"I want to be able to walk with you inside holding your hand, make them jealous that the most beautiful, kind, smart and sweet girl is mine." He holds my hand staring at me. I felt a bit guilty, if only I've told Nina the truth then we won't have to sneak around.
"I'm sorry." I touch his cheek. "I promise I'll tell her about us soon."
"I know, I understand." He smiles at me. "Let's go, it's about to bell."
