Knocking at the faculty office as I look for Mr. Allen.

"Good Morning! Is Mr. Allen around?" I ask the teacher sitting on her desk.

"Allen! Someone's here! Probably a student." She lazily yelled out to the room. Mr. Allen peeked behind his table and stood up as he saw me.

"Come, Abby." He told me. "I'm sorry, I'm just trying to find the book I borrowed from the library. I think I misplaced it somewhere here." He was looking worried as he searches for the book. "Oh, geez I'll just find it later then." He sat down in his seat. "Please" he gestured to the other seat.

"Oh, I won't be long. Homeroom will soon start. I just wanted to give you the form on the essay contest." I handed it to him.

"Right, you are one of the few whom I was expecting to submit. I'm happy you made up your mind." He smiled taking the form and putting it on his folder.

"Thank you, I didn't want to bother you anymore. I'll go ahead." I gestured to the door.

"Okay, looking forward to working with you." He said his goodbyes. I couldn't help the smile on my lips. As I walk to my locker Nina impatiently leans on the other side.

"Where were you?"

"I went to see Mr. Allen about the form." I told her. She furrowed her brows trying to remember what it was about. "It's about the contest, I told you about last night."

"Yeah, yeah!" She snapped her fingers as she remembers. "You're such a nerd participating in that contest."

"Then your brother's a nerd too." I said.

"My brother?"

"He signed up for it too." She has a face of disbelief plastered on her face.

"He's dumb and you know that. Between the two of us, my grade of C's is higher than his." She laughs like it was the craziest joke ever. "But enough about my dumb brother, I come to find you because of something." She replaced her moderate voice to a half-whisper.

"What is it about that we have to talk like this?" I ask her in a half-whisper tone.

"You see." She scans the place to see anyone listening and lean down to whisper. "Nate, transferred to our school."

"Like Nate from the movie theater?" I made a gushing sound.

"Yeah." She nodded, she looked like she was about to faint, and she even turned pale. "You know I have a thing about him, right?" I nodded. "And you perfectly know that even though I'm your best friend that my track record with guys is not that pretty." I nodded again. "I like him for he doesn't know me like that, he doesn't know anything about me except I like watching movies with my best friend. Now, it's all ruined. He'll think of me less."

"Hey, hey, Don't ever think that way." I put a hand of encouragement on both her shoulders. "Yeah, people talk shit about you but that what just people think of you. You are not what they label you for. You are the most beautiful, funny, kind and sweet girl I know."

"Really?" She kept a worried look.

"Of course, I know you flirt but never have you sleep around with just anyone else. People have the worst track record than you, look at your brother a true example of a fuckboy." I told her.

"I can change, I'll make him notice me not because of the usual body tricks but to like me more than that." She has now a smile on her face.

"Don't ever think of yourself less than others. You are perfect in your own way." I gave her a hug. "It's your words."
