I patiently wait for Dan, Nate's older brother. I slid a note at his locker through one of his classmates that Chris knows from a hookup. The chime rings, I snap my head towards the door. I saw Dan scanning the room, surely was looking for me. I raised a hand for him to recognize me. He made his way to the table.

"Hi." He greeted politely.

"Hi." I greeted back. "Please, sit down." I gestured on the seat opposite to mine. He sits and brushed his palm on his jeans nervously. He was so different from Nate as to what I can tell. "If you don't mind, I ordered you some coffee." Just as in cue the coffee was served.

"Thank you, Jen." He smiles at the server. Which she also returns with a smile, he sips on his coffee.

"Um, I know you don't know me, but-" before I can finish my word, he spoke placing his coffee back on the table.

"I know you." He says.

"You do?" I was confused about what he means.

"I mean, I saw you before. Here." He gestured to the place. "Got curious about who you are after my brother followed you out the door weeks ago."

"You knew?" I still couldn't believe it.

"You're Abby." He knew my name, swallowed in. "You're my brother's wallpaper to everything. He even has a pillow with your name printed on it." I was blinking eagerly like you'd think that something actually got into my eyes. "Look." He tenses as he tries to explain further. "If he did something. On behalf of him, I apologize." He bows his head.

"You seem sure that he did something." I say.

"My brother has BPD, he tends to have intense emotional reactions, especially to people who show him kindness that he thinks of it as showing deeper emotion that leads to him being possessive and aggressive, that at some point, he'd do anything to have it." Dan explains.

"I didn't know."

"He wanted it to be kept. We tried to talk to him to get treated again but he constantly declines and claims that he is fine. He got kicked out from his previous school because of stalking one of his girl classmates." He has his hand around his cup.

"But he said it was because of your mom." I told him.

"He said that? Of course, he did." He nodded. "Mom went to the office and claimed he didn't do anything, that he's precious son wouldn't do that, which we both know that he is capable of."

"What made him like that? BPD is usually is a result of trauma, abuse, neglect or violence?"

"Dad's never is the gentle type towards his family, especially to Nate. He would just randomly punch or hang him upside down. Nate's mom's bastard so Dad with his anger and hatred because of mom's unfaithfulness targeted Nate. I guess, my parents were the ones to blame why he's like that." He only stares at his coffee as he tells the story.

"But you two still seem close." Biting my inner cheek, still a lot of things to process.

"He's still my brother at the end, I couldn't just banish him like how my Dad did to him. It wasn't his fault that he's a seed of my mom's cheating with my homeroom teacher." He gives me a weak smile. "So, if he did anything to you or to anyone. Please, be understanding. I know it might be a lot to ask but Nate is a good person if people just try to get to know him."

"Everyone has kindness in them and I know Nate has deep down." I displayed an assuring smile.

"Thank you, Abby." He genuinely smiles. "Thank you for being understanding." I nodded. His phone suddenly beeps and he took it from his pocket, reading the text. "I need to get going before I get punishment from the hall monitor for being late." He stands and so did I.

"Thank you for meeting me." I offer him a hand and he shook it.

"No, I should be the one to thank you." He smiles. "See you around." He then walks out of the store.

Now I finally know the truth behind all of it.

Chris, Nina, David, Hunter with his girlfriend Liana, Sebastian and I sat at our new table. I've already explained to them what went down to my talk with Nate's brother. Well, they seem to doubt the whole thing but then finally conclude that there is reason on why Nate did everything he did but Sebastian is still determined to not let him off the hook just like that.

"He did you both wrong and I won't let it just slip like nothing happened." Sebastian crossing his arms. "Should I remind you that he tried to purposely spread a naked photo of my sister, that he even turns her against you and may I add, the fact that he tried to force himself to you."

"I think Sebastian's right and I don't usually agree to whatever he says." Nina encourages a smile. "He might have that such illness but he did everything with conscious thought. He knew what he was doing was manipulative and a dick move."

"If we won't do anything about this, then what if someone else's experience it other than you." Sebastian added. "He needs to face the consequences of his actions."

"Damn right." Chris hitting the table louder than he plan. "Sorry." He raises a peace sign covering his face.

"You're all right." I nodded, finally knowing what should be done and that is to put an end to Nate and get him help. Sebastian pulls me close to his side securely.

"Now that I thought of it." We all turn to look at Chris who stood up and has his hands rest on his hip. "I'm the only one without a partner in this table."

"Shut up!" Sebastian throwing him an apple as we all laugh at him. He only shrugs his shoulder and takes a bite on the apple.
