Mr. Allen asked me to meet him after class, probably talk about the essay I was supposed to submit. So, I purposely wore a dress today, thinking he'll compliment me. He wanted me to come to his last class.
"You look cute." Nina whistling at me as she saw me by my locker.
"Really?" I ask her, fixing the strap of my dress.
"You are not supposed to ask. It ruins the whole thing." She leans by the closed locker next to mine. "What's the occasion?"
"Nothing." I shrug my shoulder. She looks at me with a criticizing look. "What?"
"Did you purposely wear that today to impress someone?" She displays a smirk. I can feel my cheeks burning. "You're blushing. Damn, It's true."
"No, that is a lie." I was the one who is lying.
"But you're blushing. Is it for the guy who asked you out yesterday?" She teases. It was for Mr. Allen, not Nate.
"No. Is it wrong to wear a dress?" I didn't want to sound annoyed, but it came out still the same.
"I was just kidding. Chill." She smiles and I just grab my book and close my locker. "So, aren't going to tell me who's the guy?"
"Nina, well about that." I look at her, biting my lower lip. "He's-" But I was cut off by the bell this time.
"Oh, the bell." She rolls her eyes. "Tell me about it later, okay?" I nodded and she disappeared with the sea of students now hurriedly walking to their first class.

I was sitting under a tree by the field. I texted Nina I couldn't meet her for lunch, I lied that I needed to finish homework that I forgot to finish last night. I wasn't avoiding the fact that I need to tell her about Nate, but I just didn't want to bump in him at the cafeteria when I haven't told Nina about it yet.
I was reading a book when Sebastian sat down. He places his backpack next to me and rest his head on it as a pillow.
"What are you doing here Sebastian?" I ask him as I close my book.
"I thought my girlfriend needed some company." He looks at me. His blue eyes directly staring into mine. I swallowed in from his intense gaze.
"I'm not your girlfriend." I clear out.
"You're shy to admit it. I totally understand." He snuggled into his bag. "Can you read it for me?" He was referring to the book I was holding.
"It's a bit cheesy, do you still want to hear it?" I informed him.
"I can handle cheesy. I've watched The Notebook." He said with confidence. I couldn't help but chuckle in his words.
"Okay." I began to read To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han.

Before knocking on the door, I fixed my hair, smoothens my dress neatly and curved a smile. But as I was about to knock on the door, Sebastian twists the knob and pushed me inside that I stumbled a little.
I gave him a glare as soon as I regained my balance, he only has an evil smirk on his lips. The devil is back.
"You alright?" Mr. Allen looked at me worried.
"She's just clumsy most of the times." Sebastian was the one who answered.
"Okay. I want you both to have these." He hands us the papers. "It can help you both in your essay. I hope you've already started it."
"Almost done. I can let you read it but I don't want Abby's self-esteem to go down." He confidently speaks.
"Such a narcissist." I muttered to myself.
"That could be a good sign then." Mr. Allen awkwardly said. He was probably thinking the same as I am. "I won't keep you much longer, I have to finish these papers for grading."
"Oh, okay." I said putting the paper inside my bag.
"We'll leave." Sebastian pushing me out towards the door. I didn't even get to tell Mr. Allen goodbye.
"Are you Bipolar?" If I had laser eyes, I would have killed Sebastian with it already. "Because you seem to be, like one minute your nice and sweet then the next you'll act narcissistic and a jerk."
"I told you I'm spontaneous." He pats the top of my head.
"Maybe psycho." I roll my eyes at him.

I was wiping the table just after a group of workers finished eating. It was a busy afternoon and many costumers were coming in and out of the diner, that means I have a lot of things to do.
"Table 5 please Abby!" Jessie pointing at the table with new costumers. I need to finish this table quickly.
"Let me." Sebastian taking the plates and the cloth from my hands. "Go and take the orders" he nodded to table 5.
"But I can't-" I protest.
"Just go, okay." He shoos me away as he continued cleaning the table. I did what he told me.
The night was done, and it is time to finally end the day. I was so tired that my arms and back were aching from too much work.
I was sitting in an empty seat just after I finished cleaning the last table. Sebastian's mopping the floor, he was sweating that his white shirt was almost soaked that it tightly hugs his buddy showing his toned muscles. He looks good even though after all the work.
He suddenly stops, runs his fingers through his hair. That gesture was so damn hot that it looks like I was watching a commercial.
"Damn, did I just say hot?" I slap myself in realization.
"You okay?" He asks me.
"Y-yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" Walking to wash my hands to refill the table napkins.
"Are you still annoyed?" He asks leaning in his hand as it rests at the mop.
"No." Refilling the napkins.
"You are." He laughs. "If you want, we can play again, and I will play fair this time."
"No." I roll my eyes in his words. He is now being annoying again.
"How about we do something you like instead? Just to make it up to you." He sat in a seat next to me. "Abby." He poked my side.
"Stop." I push him away.
"Come on." He poked my cheek.
"Sebastian." Slapping his handoff.
"Abby." He poked my cheek again and I push him too hard that he fell off the chair, but I fell down with him as I lost my balance then landed on top of him, the worst thing about it, my lips was on his. My eyes widen and I immediately stood up from him.
"It was just an accident." I told him touching my lips. It wasn't like I haven't been kissed before, but It was because it was with Sebastian.
"Abby." He spoke my name so gentle that I didn't know what to think.
"Oh gosh! Look at the time." I pointed the clock by the wall. "My dad's probably waiting for me. Bye!" I rush out the door.
"Abby! Abby!" He called out to me.
"Bye Sebastian!" I shouted.
"Abby!" He runs to catch up with me. He took my arm and stop me.
"What?" I tried to look unaffected.
"You're still wearing your uniform and apron, plus you can't go home without even having a bus or cab money." He pointed out. I wasn't really thinking right that even that I haven't thought clearly.
"Right." I smiled slyly. "I should change."
"You should." He nodded.
I haven't been so embarrassed in my whole life like this. I wanted the earth to open up and swallow me alive.
