Chapter 37: Resolve

The next morning, we reported what happened and we also found out that the administration has already made a move before we even told them about it. The rumor about the puzzle game got to them and they've acted on them but was cut off because there was no photo submitted or rendered. Our statement about the incident made a great impact on the investigation and the administration immediately made an action.

Nate was questioned, so did Nina and I and the biggest reveal of it all is that Nate confessed to everything he did, which made the whole thing quickly resolved.

"What happened?" Sebastian anxiously asks as he stood from his seat next to Chris.

"It's finished now." I told him. He immediately pulled me into a tight hug.

"Thank God." He sighs in relief.

"He confessed." I added. Sebastian quickly pulled away from the hug, giving me a look of disbelief.

"Really?"

"He actually did," Nina confirms. After not a minute later, the door from the principal's office opens and Nate walks out of the room. He sees us, he walks towards our group. Sebastian shields Nina and me behind him.

"What do you want?" Sebastian fisted his hand, ready to punch if Nate made any wrong move.

"I'm not here to cause another trouble, I only came here to apologize." Nate somehow sounded sincere for once.

"Apologize?" Sebastian raising a brow at Nate.

"Believe it or not. I want to say I'm sorry to all of you, especially to Abby and Nina. I know whatever I did was unforgivable but I still want to apologize." His eyes say that he was actually regretting what he did. "I'm more than an asshole, a dick or whatever. I was blinded with jealousy that I didn't realize what I was doing. I'm so sorry." No one dared to say anything about his apology, even I can't get a word out. "By the way, thanks for talking to Dan about it, Abby. He made me think things through." I gave him a small smile and he walks away.

Later that day, the principal announced about the unfortunate events that occurred but in a general phrase. He reminded the students that whatever they are going through there are people who are willing to help and talk to them. That problem should not be kept to only oneself, that sharing is an essential weapon against it.

Nate was expelled from the school effectively today. Dan and His mom picked him up from school and Dan inform us that Nate agreed to go back to his treatment and that they are moving to another place to be able to further keep an eye on him and hoped-for recovery.

"Will he be able to recover?" Nina asks as we witness their car drive away.

"Let's hope for the best." I said resting my head on her shoulder.

"I hate this." I said pulling the side of my dress up. I was wearing on strap purple laced dress and somehow regretting following Nina's suggestion on what to wear.

"What? You look dazzling." She commented pushing my hands off to stop me from pulling the dress again.

"You're using that word too much these past few days. You should stop watching Aladdin now." I told her as I slump sitting down on my bed again.

"I won't and you can't make me." She sticks her tongue out at me and began singing the song - A whole new world from the movie.

"Oh, please stop." Covering my ears with my palm, but she sings even louder. A knock on the door, made her stop. "Thank God." I said as I open the door, to reveal Dad and Mikaela.
