Tords POV
3:00 Am Tuesday December 3rdI sigh a bit, holding onto Jay.
"It'll be okay.." she says, rubbing the back of my head. I push her away a bit with a growl,
"It'll be okay?!" I repeat. She gets a nervous expression, taking a step back.
"There are THINGS out there trying to murder us!!" I snap,
"My so-called Friends left me to DIE" I growl. At this point she was shaking, terror spread across her face. Did I yell that loud.? No- I didn't. But we aren't going to be okay.
We're going to die eventually.
She attempts to run away but I grab her wrist, in response, she lets out a shriek.
"Hey! I'm sorry!" I say, pulling her closer and putting my hands on her cheeks.
"I didn't mean to scare you.." I mumble a bit. I wipe the dirt away from her eyes. She nodded and took a few deep breathes. She shouldn't of panicked like that, I barely yelled.
"Does someone else yell at you? A lot?" I ask, she coughs and shrugs a bit.
"I don't want to talk about it.." she whispers, putting one of her hands over mine. I nod, not wanting to push her too much.
"I'm sorry" I say again, realizing how close we were. Our foreheads were practically touching, but she didn't seem to care this time. Usually she was super uncomfortable when I'd even stand by her.
"It's alright.." she sighs a bit. Her cheeks and nose were both the same shade of red, which happened to show a lot, even on her tanner skin tone. Her eyes were still shiny from earlier, when she almost broke into tears from fear. I smile a bit at her, and she gives a hesitant and careful smile back. Than I do what I've been waiting to do. I kiss her. I watch her eyes widen a bit, and she takes a second before kissing back— She was kissing back, which was good, I was earning her trust. And once I earn hers I can earn everyone else's. I keep one hand on her cheek, and the other I wrap around her. She puts both her hands on my cheeks, her soft gloves were nice and warm against them. Than she pulls away with a nervous expression-
"Ah- I can't! I- Lewis!" She says, she could barely get anything out.
"You two are dating?" I ask, confused.
She shakes her head fast,
"No.. but we kissed!" She whines. I kiss her cheek and she relaxes slightly,
"It's okay, he shouldn't be mad" I whisper. She nods but still had a look of guilt, I wrap my arm around her and we walk back to the back room. We lay down and I pull her into a cuddle, she was shivering- which I guess I hadn't noticed. I pull the blanket over us and rub her shoulder, keeping her close.
"What if he gets upset.." Jay sighs,
"Than I'll talk to him" I say, agitated. I rolled my eyes a bit but didn't let her see. She just nods, I softly kiss her cheek.
"Try and go back to sleep" I whisper. She nods and sighs, closing her eyes and eventually falling asleep. I rest my hand on her waist and cuddle up to her, closing my eyes and falling asleep shorty after.
