Jay's POV
11:00 Pm Tuesday December 3rd

I lean against the wall beside him, pulling him hesitantly closer.
"Can you call friends-?" He asks, his voice only getting worse. I didn't respond. I cup his cheeks and wipe away the dirt, blood and tears.
"Please" he whines more, coughing. I take my hat off and put it on him.
"Aren't you tired?" I ask in my calmest voice, he nodded a bit. I lay him down gently, putting his head in my lap. I glance around a bit, making sure nothing else was around. I slide my hand through his hair,
"You should take a nap. Than, I'll get you to a safe house and they'll fix you up" I lie, forcing a smile.
"You're not lying.." he mumbles, his eyes slowly closing. I shake my head,
"Just go to sleep and when you wake up.. nothing will hurt anymore.. I promise.." I say. He nods and closes his eyes all the way, letting out a reluctant sigh.
"Thanks.." he manages to get out, I nod and push back tears.
"It'll be alright now.." I whisper, carefully and repeatedly sliding my hand through his hair. His breathing slowed until it stopped. I didn't care who he was or what he had done or anything. I knew he was in a better place now. I take my jacket off him, but leave the hat. I kiss his forehead and wipe my eyes, heading back to Cameron's house.

~10 Minutes Later~

I walk in and see Lewis. He immediately hugs me.
"What were you doing?!" He snaps, I shrug a bit and slightly hug back.
"You could have gotten eaten or something!" He says with a growl.
"I watched someone die" I say, heading off to a spare bedroom. He follows me.
"Jay" he says, grabbing my hand. I pull it away and close the door, leaving myself alone in the dark bedroom. I take a deep shaky breath and set my bag down. Than slip my jacket off, I got into the bed and cuddled the jacket. Putting a blanket over myself, I stare at the boarded up window.
I sat there for probably 10 minutes before there was a knock at the door, a soft knock. I get up and open the door slowly, it was Cameron.
"Yes.?" I ask, wiping my eyes,
"Everything okay?" He asks. I nod and a bit and he hugs me, I don't hug back. Than he cups my cheeks, his hands were warm.
"Sorry about earlier" he said, he was practically whispering. I shrug a bit, enjoying his warm hands against my cheeks.
"Sorry for storming out" I say, looking up at him. He towered over me, but he had a safe feeling. I hesitatingly put my hands over his, and he smiles a bit.
"Your hands are warm.." I say quietly,
"Thank you" he chuckles. I feel my face get red again, trying to think of a way to change the subject.
"Did Sam and Lewis go to sleep?" I ask quietly, he nodded.
"Yeah, after they made-out" Lewis laughed, I sigh a bit.
"Oh.. sorry" he says, slightly awkwardly. I only shrug, he leans down and rests his forehead against mine. I close my eyes, still enjoying his warmth. Than, he kisses me. It was gentle kiss, careful almost. I place my hands on his cheeks, kissing back. He softly shut the door behind us and I pulled away, hugging him tightly. He hugged back just as tight.
"Thanks" I whisper, he kisses my cheek in response.
"..could you maybe spend the night in here.?" I ask, tugging at his shirt sleeve. He chuckles,
"Of course" he smiles. I crawl into the bed and he follows, holding me close. I hold onto his shirt, closing my eyes. He rubs my back, and for once in what felt like a while.
I actually felt safe.
