Jay's POV
We stayed leaned against the back wall, staring at the door. His arm wrapped around me, and snuggled against him.
"They're not ganna leave.." I whisper in his ear, he kisses my forehead and I feel my face get hot, I look away.
"We could make a run for it" He whispers, pulling me closer.
".. I guess" I whisper back, he cups my cheeks and I sigh. He gently kisses me, I flinch and hesitantly put my hands over his, cautiously. He pulls away,
"Sorry" He says. I don't say anything. Than we both flinch when we hear gun shots. Cameron grabs his knife and pushes me behind me, we listen as the rounds are fired. Than silence. We wait a minute or two before we get up and Cameron slowly opens the door.
All of the zombies were dead. Every single one, shot in the head. Cameron grabs my hand and I follow him as he bolts out. We look along the streets and see no one.
"Who was it..?" I ask, expecting no answer.
"No clue" Cameron says, squeezing my hands. We start off to 'home'.
"So you and Saint" Cameron says, I look up at him, he was staring straight ahead. I shrug,
"We're friends.." I say, glaring at my awkward tone. He nods,
"He sure kisses you a lot for friends" he says, I glare at him a bit.
"Yeah, well, at least he doesn't attack me" I say, looking back at the side walk. Cameron stops.
"The fuck did you just say?" Cameron asks, I tense and don't respond, pulling my hand away from his. I stand there for probably a minute before he begins walking away. I trail closely behind him, refusing to get any closer. I shiver as it begins to snow, glancing at Cameron. He was dragging his feet in the snow, I sigh.
"Sorry.." I whisper, but he doesn't seem to hear me- or listen. I walk faster, going up beside him and hesitantly holding his hand. He doesn't hold it back— but I continue to hold his. He slows down a bit, and I do as well, relieved that my legs would get a small break. I rest my head on his arm as we walk and I hear him sigh, I squeeze his hand and surprisingly he squeezes back. We walk like this for a while, I occasionally squeeze his hand to make sure- I didn't even know what to make sure of. We stop close to the house,
"Don't tell them" he says, looking at me.
"Huh..?" I whisper, he cups my cheeks.
"About the zombies and the gun-guy" he says, I nod slowly. He looks anxious and nervous, so I gently kiss him. He softly places his hands on my waist, kissing back. I wrap my arms around his neck, enjoying the warmth of him.
We do this for a while, holding each other close tightly, until I pull away. He grabs my hand and we finish walking to the house, opening the door to be greeted with a burst of warm air, we quickly shut the door and let out noises of happiness, Lewis laughs.
"We started the fire place" he smiles.
