Chapter 28: Prince Charming

3rd Person PoV

The moon is full from the sky with little holes from the clouds allowing some rays of moonlight shine through. The night was cold. Breezes of wind blew from the seas and waves crash back and forth upon the shores of the island.

From the beach there are large chunks of rocks that circled together forming a hole in the middle. From the hole there was calm water filled from an underground passage connected to the sea. There was also an angelic voice singing in the place.

*sigh*

A woman sitting on top of a rock chunk who's half of her body is soaked in the calm water. She looks up to the sky with a bored expression.

"How long has it been?"

She looks over to the stack piled chunks of rock. There was a tally on the surfaces of the rock chunks.

"A hundred!?"Surprised.

She then makes a sad expression and hugged her bent scaly tail.

She had a mermaid's tail, a red hair and a pair of blue eyes. She wore shells as bra and the color of her tail was red.

She then played her finger on the calm pool of water. It made a ripplethatmade her smile.

"I wonder whenmy prince charming will appear. A true love's kiss. That is what the witch told me in order to undo the spell and turn me back into human again. I was turned into a mermaid when I was sixteen. It's been a hundred years since then and it seems that I haven't aged a bit. I still look young."

She let out another sigh.

"Waiting this long... I think I have come to a point where I will kiss whoever boy I see."

Now she dives deep into the water and through the passage that connects to the sea.

She waves her tail as she venture around the coral reefs searching for seaweeds to eat.

"Huh? What's this?"

Suddenly, she spots a new passage. She noticed that there was a hole and chunks of rock are scattered all around its opening.

"Maybe an earthquake did this. I wonder where this entrance leads to."

She swims inside the passage.

After a few seconds of swimming, she finally arrives at the end. She then pulls her head out on the surface.

She looks around and she find herself inside a cave, an underground cave.

"Woah. It's an underground cave."

The surroundings were lighted by the glowing crystals that are embedded on the walls.

Her jaws drops as her eyes continue to explore the spiky ceilings of the cave.

She then looks back at the water.

"Huh? What's this?"

She was surprised to notice that there was a red color flowing through the water. She followed the direction of the red water and it leads to someone.

She was shocked to realize that there was someone lying on the ground. The person lies from his back and had his hand raised and soaked onto the water.

"What should I do? What should I do?" She panicks.

She stops to take a deep breath.

"Okay.Gottacalm down." She exhales.

"It's a person and he needs my help."

She then puts up a brave face and then swims to approach the person.
