If I would've been told that I would be walking down the aisle in a white wedding gown with my two best friends Lacey and Megan at the age of 18, I would have told them that they were nuts. If I would've been told that I would be marrying my teacher of all people, I would have fainted.
And today, I wanted to faint. My hands were clammy and my heart was racing faster than ever. This all felt like some type of dream.
But there he was.
Eli stood smiling at me from the end of the aisle and all of my anxiety ease away.
I held onto my dad's arm firmly and he looked down at me with a warm smile.
Once I reached the altar, my dad placed my hands into Eli's and took his place in the front row seat next to my mom. Mom already had tears in her eyes which made me want to cry.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate the joining of Eli Conrad and Sophie Millie in wedding matrimony..." He goes on to say and all that I can do is stare into Eli's face and smile. His eyes held so much love within them that is was hard to focus on anything else.
"I, Sophie Millie, take thee, Eli Conrad, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge myself to you."
Eli then says his vows
"I,Eli Conrad, take thee, Sophie Millie, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto pledge myself to you."
"You may now kiss the bride." Eli cups my cheeks into his hands softly and places the longest kiss ever onto my lips. The crowd applauds and I see Lacey and Dylan with there baby in her arms and she wipes her tears of happiness away.
Megan and Blake stood there with smiles on their faces as well and Megan wiggled her eyebrows at me making me laugh. We broke away and Eli decided to literally carry me bridal style.
We descended down the altar and made our way to our white limousine. We were going to decorate the limousine with flowers and spray paint on the back 'Just Married', but I felt that that would be too cliche. So instead, we had spray painted on the back ballet shoes that said underneath 'The ballerina finally said yes.'
"Enjoy your honeymoon!" Lacey yells after me and I blush slightly. I had no clue as to where he was taking me for our honeymoon because according to him, it was supposed to be a "surprise."
"Don't forget to have fun, but not too much fun if you know what I'm saying," Dylan suggest with a perverted glance. I snicker and lean over to kiss their little daughter on the forehead. She was the most adorable thing and even though Lacey had had her at the age of 18, she was an angel to us all.
"Bye guys!" I wave to them all and the limousine windows roll up, leaving Eli and I alone at last.
"You ready for this?" He asks me with an adorable dimpled smile." and I answer him with,
"Always."

One might say "who would ever let their daughter get married to their teacher?" Well, Eli was a different story and this story was a long one.
But in ordering for me to tell you this entire story from start to finish, I will have to first explain that I never planned to fall in love with Mr. Conrad. I tried very hard (might I add) to fight it, but after some time, I couldn't deny that there was something special between us. Something like nothing I had ever experienced before. And I would have to be a damn fool to not marry this man.
He is the love of my life after all.
