I sit in a group circle while Megan makes her way to answer the door for Lacey. We were all currently at Megan's house to hang out and Lacey had happily decided to show up after all.
"I'll just be one minute." Megan leaves.
Once Megan returns I see Lacey looking hesitantly. A big group of people usually wasn't her scene, but I was glad that she was at least trying.
"Hey Lace!" I say to her and jump onto her back making us both stumble a little.
"Hi, Sophie." She mumbles lightly.
"Why don't you guys introduce yourself's to Lace." Megan suggests. I nod my head in agreement. Lacey takes a seat on the ground and joins us all while still looking a little frightened.
"My name is Carmen." Of course, Lacey already knew Carmen, but Lacey and Carmen never really saw each other besides in school really.
"I'm Derek." Derek goofily introduces himself knowing darn well that she at least knew who he was.
"Hello, baby doll." She lets out a gasp as her eyes capture Cole's smirking face.
"Hey." She squeaks out. The girl looked like she could have an asthma attack at any moment.
"So guys we're going to play truth or dare!" I exclaim and everyone's eyes grow excited.
"I'll go first!" Carmen says.
"Derek, truth or dare?" She asks him.
"Dare." He says boldly and Carmen gets this weird look in her eyes.
"I dare you to kiss Sophie." I freeze up when I hear those words.
Carmen, what the hell?
I glare at her as Derek looks at me almost nervously. It's like Carmen knew that we hooked up and wanted to get us together or something.

Derek shrugs his shoulders before he leans into me and slowly presses his soft lips against mine. I can hear the other girls squealing with excitement while some of the guys in the room made hooting sounds.
Idiots.
Derek pulls away in a daze and I was practically beet red.
"My turn." I realize that Derek had gone back to his normal spot which was right next to me. Suddenly I had huge butterflies in my stomach.
"Sophie, truth or dare?" He asks me.
"Truth," I mutter out, still trying to catch my breath.
