Sophie's Pov.

I had gotten used to spending my time with Eli at his place. It was never hard to make up some excuse such as me sleeping over at a friends house and she never questioned it. The scary part though is that it was beginning to become easier and easier for me to lie to her. I knew that when I told her of my secret relationship, she would go bananas and I'm not sure when I would ever be ready for that reaction.

For now, I was going to spend as much time possible with him. I didn't know how much time I would have left with him.

Deep down, I was hoping for forever, but the other part of me was still scared.

"Sparkling cider or water?" He asks me and I lean against the counter while thinking.

"Neither. Champagne!" I throw my hands up while smiling. He rolls his eyes at me.

"I'm not going to promote you drinking. Plus we all know that you can't hold your liquor." He says while giving me a cheeky smile. I reach over to hit him on the shoulder and he gives me a sheepish look.

"You know it's true!" He holds his hands up in surrender.

"I'll take sparkling cider," I say and he pours us both a glass.

I take a sip before setting it down on the counter and walking over to the living room. He follows me and wraps his arms around while lifting me up into the air.

"Ah! Put me down right now Elijah Charles Conrad!" I screech. He just laughs at me and twirls me around before placing me down onto my two feet.

"You're in big trouble," I say to him and take a seat onto the couch.

"Aw don't get mad. You're so light, I couldn't resist." He says while walking around the couch.

"I'm glad that you think that. Everyone else and their mother thinks that I'm on the heavier side." I state. He comes down to pick me up bridal style.

"Not to discredit myself, but I'm not the strongest male and I could lift you with my pinky finger. Whoever said that is definitely on drugs." He says and let out a laugh.

He walks us up to his bedroom and places me softly onto the bed.

"Aw memories. Remember I woke up here half naked?" I say.

"You're still half naked." He points out and I throw a pillow at him.

"Smartass." I say while sticking my tongue out.

He lays down next to me and snuggles into the covers. Most of the time whenever I came over to his house, we would just talk while bundled into the covers. It was quite relaxing.
