Sophie's Pov. 

After Mr. Conrad dropped me off at home, he had given me his phone number to contact him for something serious. It felt good to get things off of my chest, but at the same time, why did I feel so guilty for talking with Mr. Conrad?

He was just trying to help me. That' all. 

"Sophie, how was rehearsal? My mom greets me when I get home. 

"It was a little rough, but overall it was fine." I shrug off the real problem and she smiles. 

"Okay, well I made some Keish and some pecan pie. If you want any, it's in the fridge." She tells me and I nod my head. 

"Okay." I make my way upstairs and decide to text both Megan and Lacey.

Me: Who's in the mood for some therapeutic shopping?

Lacey: Oh no... what happened?

Megan: Count me in ;) and how bad was it?

Me: It's just rehearsal again. The girls can be a little... too much. 

Megan: Ha! more like a bunch of snakes!

Lacey: Who's driving?

Megan: I can. I'll pick Sophie up first since she's closer than you. 

Sophie: Sounds great :)

When we arrived at the mall we went straight into a shop that had a large variety of swimsuits.

"We should all have a beach day," I suggest while my eyes widen at a nice floral two-piece bikini. 

"Yeah, I'm not so sure about that..." Lacey trails off. I turn to look at her with a frown. 

"Why not? It's the perfect weather for it." I state. 

"Well, because I already kind of... sort of... Went to the beach with Cole." Megan snaps her head in our direction so fast that she gets whiplash. 

"Excuse-me what!?" Megan says loudly and the sales lady gives us a distasteful look. 

"Trust me, it took some convincing when Cole had suggested it, but it was a nice day, to say the least." Lacey shrugs her shoulders while Megan and I look at her as if her doppelganger too her place. 

"What have you done to the old Lacey?!" I question her dramatically while looking into her eyes closely to find an answer. She swats me away and continues to look at the swimsuits. 

"I don't know. I'm just gaining more confidence is all." She says. Megan and I share a smile. 

Aw, our little Lacey was finally branching out. 

"Well, that's great. I'm happy that Cole makes you happy." I say. 

"And I'm happy that Sophie is happy that you're happy because Cole makes you happy," Megan adds on. I roll my eyes at her and she laughs. 

"Alright since the beach is apparently off the list, then maybe we can all shop for some dresses for a simple night out? I suggest again. I just wanted to be able to spend as much time with these two as possible before the school year ended.
