Chapter 2- The Dancer and Reunion Of Surprise

Chapter 2

Sophie's Pov. 

We pull up to the school building. Megan and I had ridden in Nick's car and Lacey had ridden with Cole which pissed Dylan off to no end. 

Something was happening between those two, I could tell.

 My hair is down and I changed into my pink flowery dress with a pair of pink pale high heeled pumps to go with it. I loved to dress up for class, unlike Lacey who I had to put together an outfit for this morning (which was a killer outfit might I add). Megan who had more of a wilder side to fashion had on a cheetah print shirt with a pinned black skirt. Megan had said previously that she was only dressing up because it was the first day of classes. She was more of a tomboy and that was understandable considering that she had 6 brothers. I was the only child. Lacey had a twin brother and sister (who I absolutely can't stand might I add). 

I exit the car and Megan and I compare our class schedules. Lacey comes out of Cole's car and later I hear Cole curse and punch at some guy named Brogan for whistling at Lacey. How protective and romantic of him. I grin at Megan and wiggle my eyebrows.

  "Hey, we have the same Honors English III class!" We each do a happy dance and make I turn to look over at Lacey and see Carmen walk over to Lacey to hug her and we all join in on the conversation.

"Let's see your schedules." I eagerly look at Lacey's schedule to see that most of the classes were different, but we did have Honor English III together as well. 

"Would you look at that. Small world. We all three have Honors English III together." Carmen pouts as she doesn't have a class with us. 

"Don't worry. We will hang out later. Promise." I say.

"I will hold you to that. We still haven't watched the latest bachelor's season together. It's a must." Carmen states and I laugh. 

She wasn't wrong. I needed to have my daily dose of watching girls have catfights over one guy. It was highly entertaining.

We each say our quick see-you-laters and head off to class. When we get there, I see that Cole and Dylan are also in this class. 

Ugh, Dylan. Having him in this class was sure to create some trouble. He was always picking on Lacey. Although I suspected that he had a huge crush on her, but that was none of my business to begin with. 

Derek who was one of my close friends happened to be in this class too. 

"Hey." I smile at him and he smiles back.

"This is gonna be the best semester yet. I can't believe all of my best friends are here." Derek rolls his blue eyes at me. 

"I am not just one of your best friends. I am the best friend." Lacey and Megan's protest cause me to laugh. 

My laughter cuts off when the teacher enters the class. I practically do a double take. 

This couldn't possibly be our teacher because this was the same man I had run into at the cafe. I try to lower myself into my seat to make myself invisible and Lacey and Megan give me a weird look, but don't question it. He steps forward in front of the class to introduce himself. 

"Okay, class. Since this is the first day of class, we are just gonna get to know each other. Firstly, my name is Mr. Conrad." He skims the class and when his eyes land on mine. They show confusion for one second before he recovers.
