*Sophie's Mood on the outside- Just go with the flow ;)

Sophie's Pov.

Going to school was like someone was twisting a knife slowly into my stomach. I even tried to tell my mom that Lacey might have given me the flu to which she responded with,

"Honey... We both know that she does not have the flu."

So I had gone to school with my head held as high as possible. I put on a brave face despite feeling like I needed to crawl into a whole and to never come back out.

I walked to first-period class and my phone rings, I answer it with as much cheerfulness that I could muster up.

"Hello, what's up my biotch!" I try to laugh at Lacey. I knew that she wasn't feeling so well so I wanted to cheer her up as much as possible.

"Yeah, I'm not going to be able to make school today so can you just get the homework for me?" She asks me in a raspy voice.

"Awww, are you okay?" I felt like there was something else going on besides her sickness and I was beginning to get more and more worried for her.

"Um yeah, I'll be fine. I'm just feeling under the weather, but I'll probably feel better later before you know it." She says weakly.

"Okay well feel better soon Lacey. And you're sure you don't want us to come over?" I ask her.

"Yeah, I'll be fine watching Netflix and staying in bed all day." She says and I could tell that she was partially lying. I knew that what she needed the most was some company from Megan and I.

"B.S girl, but we'll probably stop by at your house during lunch." I decided.

"Fine." she sighs over the phone and I end the call. I walk into the class to see Megan and I give her a weak smile.

"We're going over to Lacey's house during lunch. She's not feeling too well."  say to her and she nods her head.

"I'm going too, then." Dylan says and I look at him and nod my head. He was her boyfriend after all. He was probably just as concerned.

"Goodmorning class." I look up to see a tired looking Mr. Conrad.

"Well... he looks like shit... good for him." Megan says. Dylan raises an eyebrow at us. Derek gives me a confused look as well.
