Sophie's Pov.
I had pulled into Eli's driveway for the night. I had said goodbye to all of my friends and Megan had wiggled her eyebrows at me before saying,
"Get some." I had rolled my eyes at her.
"Hey." Eli greets me and I walk into his place to see that he had set the dinner table with a nice cloth and some candles.
"I prepared you some dessert. I know that you have the performance tomorrow and are probably stressed. So I've made brownies." He says. I tilt my head up to meet his lips for a simple and yet loving kiss. I pull away and he takes in my attire. I had changed out of my gold dress and into a shorter one that was the color baby blue.
When I had texted him the picture of the dress that I was in earlier he had sent me a text along the lines of killing him softly.
"You are too much for me." He mutters against my lips before pecking me on the lips one more time. He breaks away and goes into the kitchen to bring out the brownies. They weren't just simple brownies. They had caramel on them and chocolate chips.
"These look delicious," I say and I take a bite out of one.
"I would marry you on the spot for these brownies alone." I moan out.
"I should have made those brownies for you a long time ago then." He looks at me in amusement. He reaches in his pocket and pulls out a small box. I almost choke off of my brownie.
"Oh, I was joking." I say to him and he lets out a bark of laughter.
"It's not a ring Sophie. Just open it." I take the box from his hands and open the box. In it was a rose gold necklace and I let out a gasp.
"How much was this?" I ask him. He makes a motion to place it around my neck.
"Now that, I won't say." He says with a smirk.
"I can't take this," I say while looking down at the necklace that now sat on my chest.
"It's my gift to you." He holds my face with his two hands and pulls me in for a slower kiss.
"Thank you." I smile at him.
"I have another surprise for you." I give him a look of disbelief.
"Don't worry. It's not like the gift I just gave you." He stretches his hand out for me to take.
"Close your eyes." he leads me upstairs and I start to smell the scent of lavender. My shoulders instantly relaxed.
