Chapter 32

I was nervous. I'm not gonna lie and pretend that I didn't feel like fainting and throwing up at the same time. Why was I so nervous might you ask?

Oh, well because today, I was about to tell my parents about my relationship with Eli. 

I had put this off as long as I could and as graduation was coming closer and closer, I knew that I had to tell them. 

"You can do this Sophie. If I had to have an uncomfortable talk with my mother about being pregnant right after fainting, then I'm sure that you can do this too." Lacey says to me and Megan nods her head. 

We were all currently at Lacey's house because I was too scared to even be in my own house right now. 

"Yeah, and if I can tell my parents that I was dating Blake, then this should be a piece of cake." Megan says and we look at her as if she's crazy. 

"Megan that's not the same thing." I shake my head.

"Yeah, but you should have seen what went down at my dinner table. Blake's personality didn't really mix with my religious family's. A bunch of cursing took place." She shrugs her shoulders.  

"What if they have him locked up?" I asked making my breathing get heavier. 

"Once they see how great Eli treats you then they will have to accept him." Megan says. 

"Yeah well, I guess we'll have to see then." I say and stand up. 

"Can you guys maybe come with Eli and I? You know... for some support. Maybe it'll be less awkward if you guys are there." I say to them with puppy dog eyes. Megan gets a skeptical look on her face. 

"I don't know... I'm not sure if us intruding would be a good idea." She says and I pout. 

"Please. If my parents hear you guys say that we are actually good for each other, then maybe it will soften everything a little." I explain. Lacey thinks about it for a moment. 

"She does have a point. Maybe we can all try to sweet talk our way through this dinner." Lacey says. 

"Please." I turn to face Megan. She takes a moment before rolling her eyes and sighing. 

"Okay, but just know that I'm only coming for the drama," Megan says and Lacey scoffs. 

"Hopefully there is no drama." and Megan lets out a laugh while touching Lacey on the shoulder. 

"Honey, we are going to a dinner. One that Sophie is going to confess that she banged her teacher and is madly in love with him. Oh, there is going to be drama." Megan laughs making me throw a pillow at her face. 

As much as I hated to admit it, Megan was right.

"You ready for this?" Eli asks me and I laugh.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" And he just squeezes my hand in reassurance. Megan, Lacey, and surprisingly Dylan showed up with us. 

I open the door and we all file in. My mom looks up in surprise.
