"One, two, one two three!" I heard faintly in the background, under all the screaming fans and white noise. I heard the first strum of Tasia's bass and Daisy's drumsticks beating against the drum pads harshly. We all started into our first original song, Beaten. I was in complete awe as I saw a thousands upon thousands of faces in the crowd screaming back our lyrics, dancing along. This is it, I thought. We made it.
We ran off stage and into the back dressing room.
"That fucking rocked!!" I squealed as I jumped around.
"Lyric, calm your shit." Lycia told me, a smile crept onto her face. "But that totally kicked ass!"
We all high-fived and plopped onto the nearest surface.
"We got meet-and-greet in 5 minutes, guys." Our manager, Louanne told us.
I jumped up to wipe the sweat off my face and brush my hair a bit.
"You should just cut it shorter, Lyr." Daisy suggested.
"No fucking way, dude." I punched her in the arm and ran out to the meet and greet station on the side of the stage.
Tasia, Daisy, Lycia and I took group and individual pictures, signed stuff, and talked to a few people. A few girls cried and I hugged them, and smiled.
"You're my role model. You saved me, thank you so much." One girl cried as she hugged me.
I shed a tear and said, "No, thank you for saving me. Without you guys, we truly wouldn't be here today." I smiled at her. "Did you know this is our hometown? We always make sure to play in Pittsburgh and not just near it."
She nodded excitedly, "That's so amazing that you guys are from Pittsburgh. Not many people make it from here, especially a girl band. You guys are legendary, here." I hugged her and she left.
Finally, after the long meet and greet, we climbed onto the tour bus, and into the next city.
"Hey Lyr, Ashton has been calling you for awhile, you guys were out there for a long time." Louanne told me as she tossed me my phone.
I quickly dialed up Ashton's number and he picked up after the first couple of rings.
"Hi beautiful, your mum sent me a video of you all performing. You kicked ass." I blushed as I heard my boyfriend's voice over the phone.
"It was totally amazing, huge venue, so many people. Now I get it, touring is amazing." I walked to the back room of the bus so I wasn't bothered.
"It gives me such a rush, but I'm glad I just finished touring, so I can see you perform." I heard the boys in the background teasing Ash and making kissy noises.
"I can't either. I love you and I'll talk to you later. Good night."
"Good night, love." Ash whispered into the phone and the line disconnected.
"How's Ash?" Daisy and Tasia teased and nudged as I walked out of the room.
"Oh shut up, I'm going to sleep." I hopped in to my bunk and put headphones in to drown out the giggles and shouts from the rest of the bus.
