Pilot - Jorma

"Who is that" Andy Samberg asked me as we stood by the doorway of the kitchen at the SNL offices.

"Apple, my new junior writer. She's fucking talented" I smiled and went back to watching her create a beat with a plastic cup and sing.

She had no idea we were watching. Andy was going to be the host of this week's show, we had been walking to my office when we heard her singing from the kitchen. Not only could this girl write incredible material, she could sing like nothing else.

"Jesus" Apple cursed when she finally turned around from the microwave and saw us both stood there.

"Hey, this is Andy by the way" I chuckled as I watched her cheeks begin to blush.

Aplle introduced herself and shook Andy's hand before turning back around to finish making her lunch. I asked her to come see me when she had eaten and then headed back to my office with Andy.

"She a good writer then?" Andy asked as he took a seat on the couch in my office.

"One of the best I've seen come through those doors in a long time. She had a sketch approved for the show in her first week. Nothing this week but Lorrie loves her work" I smiled.

"You thought about asking her to come with you when you leave this place?" He asked.

I had been secretly writing a pilot with Andy for a new show called Brooklyn-nine-nine. We had just had approval from Fox and it looked like we would be shooting a tv show early next year. No one else at SNL knew about it, but I knew sooner or later I would have to come clean.

"Its crossed my mind" I shrugged.

Andy and I then went on to discuss the features for the show on saturday. Half hour later we were finally joined by Apple.

"What up boss man" she smiled and took a seat on the couch next to Andy.

"I just wanted to ask if you had been able to sort out a sitter for your niece on saturday. I was talking to my wife and she said she would happy to have her if you needed. Our girls not much younger than Bella" I explained.

"Wow, that's really sweet. I've actually arranged for her to have a sleep over at a friend's house. Thanks though"

"Alright. Oh Colin wanted to see you by the way" I smiled.
