"Well?" Apple asked as the tears continued to roll down her cheeks.

"He's mine... holy crap... HE'S MINE" I laughed as I passed her the paper and took hold of the baby, my son.

"Thank god" she cried and dropped the paper to the floor as she came close to my side and gently stroked her across our sons tiny soft cheek.

The nurse found us shortly after and forced Apple back into bed. This time I was able to bring our son with us though, and once she was comfortable, I gently rested him on her chest.

"What's happened Q? I just remember this car" she asked later on that day.

"It was a hit and run. The car had no plates and he never stopped. The police haven't found any leads, but they think it was a drunk"

"A drunk" she repeated and looked down at our son.

"But you're going to be okay, in a couple of days we can take you and our son home and forget all about it. Your safe Apple, I promise".

Apple just continued to look down at the tiny baby. I knew she was thinking something, something she wasn't ready to talk about, something she had never talked about. What had happened in Russia, who or what was she running from. I couldn't help but think about it now, so much had passed since I found out about her family, and still she never mentioned a word about it. Was she scared this was connected with what happened in the past. I tried to focus her mind back on the present. This was suppose to be a happy time afterall.

Over the next week Apple and the baby were kept in hospital. They both needed to be constantly monitored for any internal damage or possible blood clots. Today was finally the day everyone would get to come home though.

"Can we start thinking about a name now" I asked with a smile as I drove everyone home.

"I'm guessing you already have some ideas?" She chuckled.

"I've been thinking of a few, but I keep coming back to same one. Henry James Quinn".

"James after your dad? I like it... I really like it actually".

"Yeah?"

"It's perfect" she smiled.

Apple had called Miguel when she was still in hospital to tell him the news. Apparently he seemed a little sad but wished us all the best. After my drinks with him a few weeks back id actually felt pretty bad for the guy, he was decent dude, but I was go thankful that things had worked out for Apple and I.

"My mom and dad want to come over tomorrow. See their grandson" I added and looked back into the back seat through the rear view mirror at Henry. Bella was sat close by him, playing with his hands and pulling silly faces.

Apple just nodded and went back to staring out of the window. I could tell her mind had drifted elsewhere and I was about to ask when her phone rang out.

"Her Jorm" she smiled.

"Yep, on my way home with little Henry... yeah we're both good.... Can you do next week, we have Bri's parents coming tomorrow.... sweet. Catch you later".

"He dying to met the kid" she laughed when she hung up.

"That's because he's the coolest baby around" i smiled back, but she had turned to look out of the window again.

"Hey, what's going on? You okay?" I asked worried now.

"I'll explain later on... I promise" she sighed.
