"Holy shit" I laughed as we opened the door to our home for the next few weeks.
It was a high floor apartment on the edge of Venice beach. The living room was open planned and connected to the most fanciest looking kitchen I'd ever seen. There was a large L shaped couch and a huge flat screen tv. The far wall was complete glass from ceiling to roof and had a sliding door on the balcony that had couches and chairs looking over the beach and bright blue waters. My bedroom was decorated with a beach theme and had a huge king sizes bed, walking warodbe, views of the ocean and an attached en-suite bathroom. The shower in there was the size of our entire bathroom back home and had a huge deep bath. Bellas room was equally impressive.
"Are we serious staying here" Bella giggled.
"3 weeks baby" I laughed again and threw myself down on the couch.
We spent the rest of day unpacking and the grocery shopping. Afterwards we headed to a restaurant by the ocean and ate buckets filled with crab. With brushing bellies and tired eyes we drove back the apartment and passed out.
The next two weeks were filled with meetings and writing as Bella carried on her lesson with the tutor and Emily. They had also started taking surfing lessons and were soon able to stand up on the board without help.
"She suits the LA life style" Andy laughed as we watched them finish up their surf lesson on evening.
"She's a proper surfer chick now, maybe she be a little more chilled out" I smiled.
Jorma and his wife Sara had just pulled up as the girls came up from the beach.
"You sure you don't mind looking after this one?" I asked Sara.
"Course not, you guys go smooze with the rest of the executives. Have a drink for me" she smiled as the girls piled into the car.
"Let's do this then" Andy clapped as he called his driver over and we jumped in.
"You sure I look okay" I winced and pulled at the army green dress I was wearing. It was a little too tight fitted for me and hugged angrily to my curves. It finished just above the knee and had a sweetheart cut line at the top.
"You look incredible.... as always" Andy blushed in the back passenger seat next to me.
We had planned to meet a couple of the fox executives for dinner and drinks at some fancy Japanese restaurant in Santa Monica. There was three older guys, who despite pushing the age of at least 60, dressed sharply in tailored suit. One middle aged woman with blonde hair and looked to of had way to much Botox and another younger woman in her early twenties who was the PA (and assumed mistress) of one of the older guys.
We all started the meal with shots of Japanese liquor and then ordered plates of sushi. I had never been a big fan of the stuff, but I politely ate the food and drowned it down with more cocktails. After we had finished eatting we headed over to a near by bar. The queue outside ran half way down the street, but we were allowed straight in and shown to our private booth in the VIP section of the bar.
"That is some dress young lady" one the older executives names Kev chuckled and placed his hand on my knee.
"Alright Kev, easy now. That's our co-writer and producer your making uncomfortable" Andy smiled as he took my hand and led me from the table.
"Sorry about that" he whispered in my ear over the music as we approached the bar.
"I've dealt with worse" I shrugged and called the bartender over.
Two mojitos later we were still stood by the bar in fits of giggles. "And you still made head writer and SNL?" I asked in shock as Andy recalled one of his many stories from working on the show.
