I arrived back into New York on saturday around 3pm and headed straight over to Apple's.

"Brian" Bella cheered as she opened the door.

"Apple told me to tell you she's sorry she missed you" she added and walked into the living room.

"No worries. It's just you and me today kiddo" I smiled. "You got a house key?" I added.

Bella lifted up at set of keys and jingled them before passing it to me. I made sure she had switched everything off before she left and checked out she was doing on credit for power.

"Shall we?" I smiled as I opened the front door and lead Bella outside.

After an hours drive into the city we pulled up by the theatre and headed inside. After buying Bella a souivner and some sweets we took our seats and watched the show.

"That was amazing" Bella giggled as she danced back to the car.

"Yeah, you wanna grab some food on the way home?"

"McDonald's" she squeaked and jumped into the car.

I pulled through the drive through at one close to her home and ordered the food to take home.

"Can I asked you something?" Bella asked as we ate our food and watched tv back at her house.

"Sure honey"

" Your a good guy right?" She asked in a more serious tone.

"Of course, why would you need to ask that?"

"Because of the man in Russia. He was suppose to look after us, but he was really bad. Applr thinks I don't know, but I know he use to hurt her and make her cry a lot. I sometimes have bad dreams about him".

"Hey come here. I don't know about the man in Russia, but I really like you and Apple and I'm not gonna let anything bad ever happen okay" I tried to reassure her as i pulled her into a tight hug.

"Is Apple's boyfriend a good guy?"

"Boyfriend? Who do you mean hunny?" I asked confused this time.

"Colin, we went out for dinner a few night ago. He seems nice, but im not sure about him"

"Colins a good guy too" I smiled through gritted teeth.

Bella just smiled at me innocently and then went back to eatting her fries. We watched one more film and at 10pm I finally made Bella go to bed after making her a bed time tea.

"I wish you were her boyfriend. Apple Quinn sounds good" she giggled as I tucked her in the covers.

"I don't even know what you last name is" I laughed back.

"Smith" she smiled cheekily.

"Smith, come on, what's your real last name" I chuckled whilst tickling her.

"Apple said were not suppose to tell anyone, apparently it can get us in trouble. I don't get it, how can the name Mangano get us in trouble".

Mangano, fuck that was a dangerous name I thought to myself.

"It can't, now go to sleep" I smiled and walked out of the room.

I tried to force myself awake as I carried on flicking through the TV, waiting for Apple to come home.

"Brian" I heard a voice whisper in my ear.

As I opened my eyes I found Applw leaning over me with a huge smile. "What time is it?"

"2am, you must of fallen asleep".

I sighed heavily and sat up as Apple flopped down on the couch next to me.

"She behave for you?" Apple asked as she kicked off her shoes and grabbed the TV remote.

"Yep" I replied flatly as I began to redigest the information I had earlier learnt.

"Hey, if your looking for something to watch, I saw this cool documentary about an old Mafia family that use to run New York, they were called the Mangano's" I added.

Apple stopped dead in her tracks and slowly placed the remote down.

"Bella" she spoke quietly

"Yeah, she also mentioned your boyfriend... Colin".

"Your mad at me?" She looked puzzled and turned to face me.

"Yeah, but I don't know more at what. Your fucking Apollonia Mangano, your dad was..."

"A monster yes, but my father so be careful before what you say next word" she interrupted me.

"Your... the Mangano's caused so much pain during the 70s and 80s. Hell pretty much from the 50s and onwards. They threatened my mother once, I was like 7 and they threatened her right in front of me. And your..." I couldn't think of what to say, I felt completely lied to.

"Maybe you should leave" Apple sighed.

I couldn't believe her. She was acting so cold and heartless. I'd heard enough and shook my head as I grabbed my keys and stormed out.
