Chapter 13

Austin begins to talk as were laying on the bed, "So I need to get you out of this hotel and we need to go do something fun to get your mind off of everything."

"You really don't have too, I guess I can just go-"

"No, I want to."

I actually smile for the first time since last night and he smiles back. I should've known that he would be the person to get me happy again. He tells me to get dressed and get ready for the day.

"I know exactly where to take you!" He tells me as I'm walking into the bathroom.

"Another surprise?" I ask him.

"Yep!"

I do my hair real quick and throw on some jean shorts with a tank top. As I come out of the bathroom, Austin is all ready to go and has all of my stuff in one spot so we can grab it and go.

We take the elevator down and I fight him over pressing the button. We go to the front desk to check out and then head outside. When we get in the car he says it's going to be about an hour and a half ride and asks what I want to listen to on the way there.

"Well whenever I'm upset about something, I usually listen to you sing..."

He takes a cd out of the Restoring Force case he had laying on the car floor and puts it in.

Public Service Announcement begins to play and he starts to sing along. He sounds even better then the actual song recording! I sing along to the songs with him and I feel a lot better by the time we get close to wherever he's taking me! I see a sign as we're driving that say 'Welcome to Myrtle Beach' and I get really excited that this is where we're hanging out today! This is where I usually come when I want to get away from things anyways.

He pulls into the Hard Rock Cafe parking lot and I look at the pyramid shaped restaurant.

" I figured you'd be hungry... so do you like this place?"

"I love eating here!" I reply.

We walk into the restaurant and sit at a little table for two. We both order a burger and then we get up to walk around and see all of the rock memorabilia.

We talk over lunch and have a lot of fun getting to know each other even more. When we're done, we decide we're going to walk over to the board walk right next to restaurant and walk around for a little while.

He grabs my hand as we start walking and I just look at him and smile. I see a fish feeder on the side of the boardwalk and we walk over to it. We look over the side and there is around 100 catfish all swimming around waiting for some food to drop! He pops a quarter in the machine and it pours some food into his hand. He gives some food to me and we both start throwing some down. Now some ducks are even flying over here to eat!

We walk into a couple stores and just look at random stuff while we make jokes to each other to make us laugh! We take a bunch of pictures together the whole time so we can have something to remember. He walks me over to a mini golf place that is designed as a castle and we play mini golf for about an hour. (I totally beat him by the way, even though I told him he won.)

As we're walking out, a couple of girls walk past us and start whispering to each other. Suddenly I hear one of them say," Is that Austin Carlile!?" I knew it was only a matter of time before somebody recognized him and honestly, I didn't think it would even be this long!

The girls run up to him and ask him to sign some stuff and take a picture. He looks at me as if asking for permission and I tell him it's okay. He let's go of my hand and I walk to the side while he's taking pictures and giving autographs.

I'm looking around trying to determine what store to go into next when something catches my eye. I must be missing him a lot because I swear that guy over there has brown hair with a blonde side, just like Ja-...

I keep looking for a second when the guy turns around and confirms who I thought it was. What is Javin doing here!? We lock eyes at right about the same time I notice it's him and I don't know what to do. I just start walking away and go into a little abandoned corner next to a store. I sit on a bench and put my head in my hands and start to cry. I hope he doesn't actually find me.

I hear some footsteps then someone say,"Haley?" in a really soft voice and I know exactly who it is.

"Go away Javin."

"Haley, please just talk to me."

I raise my head up from my hands.

"How did you even find me here!?"

"Ashton said you come here sometimes to get away from things so I thought I would come check. Everyone is worried about you and they don't know where you are! Why aren't you responding to anyone on your phone?"

"It's turned off" I state.

I put my head back in my hands and I feel him sit down next to me. He puts his hand on my back trying to comfort me and I tell him not to touch me.

"Please look at me Haley."

I look up and my vision is all blurry from the tears.

"I'm am truly sorry for what I did. It was the stupidest thing I've ever done and I lost the girl of my dreams because of it. I know you can never trust me again but I just need you to forgive me. I need you to acknowledge that I'm here and you need to tell Jade and Ashton where you are and that you're okay."

I just sit there not knowing really what to say. I want to take him back so bad that it hurts. I know i can't do that to Austin though and if Javin cheated once, he'll cheat again.

I just keep staring into his eyes and I can't help myself. I lean forward on the bench and kiss him right there. I don't want to let go of him and I notice I'm on his lap now. I hear footsteps come around the corner and I pull back really quick.

"I've been looking everywhere for you..." Austin begins to say but stops when he sees what I've just done.

"Austin!"

I watch him turn his gaze to Javin.

"What are you doing here Javin?!"

"I was just trying to find out where she was since none of us had heard from or seen her since last night when you drove off with her!" he tells him as he jumps up from the bench.

I see Austin clench his fists and reply, "Yeah, I wonder why she hasn't responded to you! What were you doing with her?!"

"Austin."

"Save it Haley, I thought you actually had feelings for me like I did for you but I guess not."

He storms off around the corner and by the time I catch up, I can't find him in the crowd.

I run back to Javin," I can't find him Javin!" He pulls me into his arms and I start crying again. These past few days have been the worst. I can't believe what I just did to Austin.

School started for me Monday so that's why I haven't updated. High School is going pretty good though!
