Chapter 23

"Austin! Can you help me find my other shirt?"

"Why are you in such a rush Haley? She's doing fine, and Javin and Ashton are there?"

I try to explain to him, "I just want to be there in case anything else happens...What if the doctors made a mistake and they have to cut off her leg? or what if-"

"Haley, stop making up the worst scenario situations! She is fine and she is going to heal! You have to relax for a little bit...what if we watch a show or something and then leave?"

It wouldn't hurt to lay down and relax for a little while...

"Okay, but only one show."

We both lay down on my bed and turn on Netflix. I scroll over to Bob's Burgers and turn on a random episode. This is one of the best cartoons ever made.

Austin wraps his arm around me and every now and then I feel him kiss the top of my head. He is just the best and I don't know how I got this lucky.

I start do a recap in my head of all the things that has happened in my life lately.

1) I went to Warped Tour for the first time with my best friend and my sister.

2) I got to meet my most favorite band in the whole world.

3) My favorite singer actually talked to me and I gave him my note and he actually put it in his pocket.

4) Austin made a tweet about me.

5) I come home one day and Austin Carlile is in my apartment.

6) I met a really good friend that ended up doing the wrong thing but it turned out for the best.

7) I've gone on the most perfect date.

8) I got to spend the weekend in a cabin with Austin Carlile.

9) (We'll just leave out the part about my sister getting in an accident.)

10) I'm cuddling with Austin while watching my favorite cartoon.

I've tried so hard and have gone so long without fangirling about everything that has happened to me that I can't hold it back any longer.

I manage to silently freak out in my head and put a huge smile on my face.

"Why do you look so happy?" He asks me when he notices my expression.

"You." is all I say while I look into his eyes.

He smiles and kisses me. We eventually have to stop and get up so we can start heading back to the hospital.

He asks me to stay but he gets up anyways.

We're walking down Jade's hallway again except we're not as panicked this time. I knock on the door once we reach her room and I hear Ashton yell "Come in!"

"Anything new?" I ask as I'm walking in.

"Nope, nothing has changed."

"See! I told you that you had nothing to worry about!" Austin tells me.

"I guess you were right." I admit to him.

"Well since everything is okay here, I'm gonna go to my hotel to get some stuff and talk to the guys for a little while. I'll see you later babe."

He kisses my forehead and walks out of the room.

I turn back to Jade and she looks at me too.

"Haley, could you put my makeup on me?"

"You're in the hospital, why do you want makeup on??"I question her.

"I want to look decent while I'm here!"

Javin chimes in," You already look beautiful."

I look back at my sister and see her starting to blush. They're so cute together.
