Chapter 42

I heard the elevator stop at a floor on the way down but didn't care to look who got on. The doors closed, and I heard someone slide down the back of the wall too.

"You okay?" the stranger asks me.

I look up to see a guy that looks a little older than me now sitting next to me in the elevator. I look through my blurry eyes, and I can see he has brown eyes and the all to well known fuckboii haircut.

"My name is Christopher." he says as he extends his hand towards me.

I give him a look of confusion, and he just puts his hand back by his side.

"Anything I can help with?" he questions me.

I shake my head no and put my head back between my knees. I feel his arm draped around me soon after. The elevator makes a noise, and I look up to see that it has stopped at another floor. Must be Christopher's floor. Christopher helps me stand up and asks me again if I'll be okay.

"I will be fine."

"You can come to my room if you wanted?"

"That's not necess-"

I don't even get the words out of my mouth before I feel his hand over my mouth and his other hand around my stomach. I try to pull away, but he is too strong. He pulls me out of the elevator and down the hallway. Before I know it, I'm in his room and he is pulling my clothes off. I beg him to stop, but that doesn't do anything. He just keeps going. I'm in tears as he kisses up my neck and continues with what he is doing. He is raping me. I can't believe this is really happening. It just feels like a nightmare. When I left Austin, I just wanted to get away from him and now he is all that I want. I want to be in his arms again. I want to feel safe. Yeah I am mad at him but maybe I was just overreacting...

I realize that I can't do anything. He is way too strong and powerful compared to me. I sob as he kisses me and continues to have sex with me. After he is done, he gets off of me for a second, and the first chance I get I grab the lamp on the table and hit him in the head with it. It knocks him out to my surprise, and I jump out of the bed. I slip my clothes on as fast as I can and run out of the room. I run over to the elevator and repeatedly push the buttons to get them to open. The doors slowly open, and I step in. It stops on another floor on the way down, and the doors open to find Austin standing there.

"Haley? Haley what's wrong?"

He runs into the elevator, and I hug him as tight as I can.

"I've been looking for you everywhere. I didn't think you would leave because you didn't have a car but I couldn't find you."

I don't say anything. I just cry into his shoulder. He hits the button to go back up to his room. He apologized for everything he did on the way up. We walk into his room, and I sit on the couch. He walks into the kitchen and walks back with a glass of water. He touches my shoulder, and I flinch.

"Haley what happened to you!" he says to me not trying to sound too angry.

I mumble some stuff under my breath and look up at him.

"He raped me."

"What? How could this have happened? You weren't even gone that long? Who did this to you Haley?!" His voice grew with anger the more questions he asked.

"I don't know. I mean, he said his name was Christopher. "

"What room was he in? What floor was he on? Where is he Haley?!"

"Austin I don't know! I just wanted to get out of there!"

He kisses my forehead and walks out the door. He comes back after about 5 minutes and tells me there is no one named Christopher in the system at the hotel. He must have lied about his name. Fuck. Austin reports it to the police and then sits down and just holds me in his arms. I silently cry myself to sleep like that.

The next morning, Austin takes me home. He walks me in and stands by me when I explained what happened to Jade and Ashton. They both hugged me and tried to make me feel better. Austin leaves soon after, and I walk up to my room. I put on some music, get in my pajamas, and lay in my bed for the rest of the day.

It's been a couple of weeks since everything happened. I haven't seen Austin since that morning. Things are very different for me now. He has tried talking to me but nothing has really changed. School is starting soon, and he is going back on tour. He can't live in that hotel just for me. I think it is best if we leave it at this. We had something great and maybe we still do. I don't know. I'm just really confused about everything right now. We're going to go until Christmas and meet up again to see how things have gone, and if we're really meant to be together. I think this will work out for the best.

Me, Ashton, and Jade are meeting the guys for the last time before they leave today. We get in the car and drive over to the hotel. We pull in and see them putting their stuff in their tour bus. I walk up and see Austin and pull him into a big hug.

"Thank you for making this an unforgettable summer." I whisper in his ear. I kiss him on the cheek and pull away. He grabs me again and looks me in the eyes. His eyes are so adorable. He pulls me into one more hug and then lets me say bye to the rest of the guys. We all say our goodbyes, and they get in the bus to head out. We wave goodbye as they pull out of the parking lot. It is sad to see them go. I pull Jade and Ashton into a hug before we get back into the car to go back home. This really was a summer I will never forget.

Well that's the end you guys! Thank you so much for all of the nice comments and support I have gotten for this! Sorry I didn't warn you guys about it coming to an end. Actually just decided today I wanted it to end like that. I will post an epilogue soon, so you guys can know the true ending, and it should answer all of the questions you still might have. I just want it to be really nice. I just felt that if I wrote anymore, I would just be prolonging the story. But I think it turned out okay! Love you guys!
